Darn...

I was goign to pay for both of us, but I only play golf with those that can work in the occassional comma or elipse...   perhaps a period here and there.

Just kidding.  Good luck on the course this year.

I wonder how difficult it would be to create a list of members home towns/courses/HC for those who care to be on it?  You could always PM a perspective partner with a similar HC.

Yes that would be nice , tho I'm still very new to this website and using my phone to search it abs use the forums I wish they had a forum section for something like that it would be very nice and helpful where you guys from? And what's your handicap for my first round of 18 ever I payed a local course called emerald isle in oceanside california and this was before I even had 3 weeks under my belt of practicing st tge driving range and it was a 56 par course and for my first time ever playing course play I got 84 since then iv got alot better and had acouple lessons that has really improved mygame aloso I'm excited to ps3 again Does anyone agree that making a section on the forums like looking for players around same handicap or just players around your area to play with period I think it would be very helpful and nice

We have a Groups section already for you. http://thesandtrap.com/groups/

You will find groups in quite a few geographic areas. If a group doesn't exist for your area, just start one.

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
