I use a KZG Gemini 460 fitted with a Matrix Shaft. The driver has a very forgiving face for shots off of the toe or heel. The Gemini driver produces long shots with minimal effort. Swing speed is 104 and I consistently carry the ball 260.

The driver is not my problem.... I need to hit more GIR..... Urrrrr

Just bought a Taylormade R 580 XD 10.5* (Stiff) stock shaft last week. I might upgrade the shaft next season but, since I'm entering my second year of play, this should do for now.

I use the Cobra F Speed 12 degree. While not long off the tee with any driver, I have hit more fairways with this club than I have with any previous driver. I am going to try to resist being seduced by this year's marketing hype for all the new drivers since I can find so little rationale for spending upwards of $400 for a new driver because the Cobra performs so well for me. But then, who said that rational thinking had anything to do with the purchase of new golf equipment?

I really don't jump from club to club. I tend to wait until the next model comes out, and then buy last year's at a lower price.

I've been using a TaylorMade R-580XD with a tip-firm R shaft for the last two years or so, and I hit it very well. I am starting to get an itch for something new, though, and I've been trying different sticks. Nike (last year, not the new square one), Hi-Bore, newer TaylorMades, etc..

Haven't found anything I consistently hit any straighter or farther then my current one. But then, any two consecutive drives can vary by +/- 50 yards, so statistically, it's difficult to tell...

Nike Ignite 410... it's not because Tiger used it but because I have tried about 5 different drivers, at least, including TaylorMade R7, Ping G5, Cobra HX, I ended up sold them to some golfers for half the price. The price I have to pay to find the right driver....

Mizuno MP-001 8.5* (380cc) with an Aldila NV75 Stiff in it cut to 44". I have had it for about 3 years and have been using it continuously for the past 6 months with the NV in it, previously it just had the stock Exsar 60 shaft and I had problems with hitting it too high so didn't use it much.

I like the slightly smaller head and deepish face, most of the 460cc drivers I have seen and tried just look too big for my liking.

I also have a System Q 455 10.5* (R7 clone - sort of) with a DG SL S300 at 43.5" that I will use if I am playing somewhere with very tight fairways. I hit it about 15 to 20 yards shorter than the Mizuno (if it is very dry, the Mizuno will go up to 30 yards further). I hit a LOT of fairways with it and my misses are always still in play.

I have the Titleist 905R and love the way the ball comes off the face, no cons for me. I used to have the Taylormade R5 Dual but I didnt feel I hit that as well plus I hated the tinny noise it made.

I was a bit surprised to be the only Bridgestone J33R person in this poll. I have hit many drivers at the range, but I got fitted and this driver was the best performance and best look for me. I think the key to find is the shaft/head combo that maximizes your swing. For me, I needed to reduce the backspin, so we went with the Bridgestone, and I have never looked back. I am as long with this club as any, and I am far straighter with the Aldila NV shaft.

I did not like the looks of the Nike's, and I feel the TM driver head is shaped concave to my eye, but to each is own.

I must admit, I am interested in the TM Burner. I like revolutionary ideas, and the longer shaft, lighter shaft and lighter grip idea are tangible reasons to consider. I would probably look at a model 1 - 2 degrees less loft than my current 10.5 loft, but my numbers at golfsmith were encouraging. We'll see. I don't like spending money on equipment any more, without a tangible reason to do so.

just bought the calloway ft-1 dirver ..

my swing speed is still about 110 average up to 118, and the funny thing is that i hit the regular flex driver on the launch monitor better than the stiff.

the fitting pro said the new shafts can handle higher swing speeds, without going way off line.

i ended up getting the regular shaft for the first time in my life, and i'm glad, because i think i may hit a few more fairways with it.

at the price of new equipment, i hope i'm right.

time will tell, i'll let ya know.

now... if only it would quit snowing outside....

I am a diehard TaylorMade (driver) guy, started a few years back with a Firesole, I just have it in my head they are the best.

Now that's weird. My Callaway FTi is the first driver I've ever owned with an S shaft. My SS is 95-100, and the 10° neutral bias with Speeder Stiff is the correct combo for me. I hit the Pro V1x balls consistently with a high draw, longer and much straighter than the R7 (R flex) I had before this. I never owned a club with stiff shafts until I bought my King Cobra irons last August... and now I've added a driver to the list. I still use R flex shafts in my 5W and hybrids.
