before my round last yesterday i took the kids to the park, which is part of a big playing field 2 football pitches,

so i took along my 56* wedge and chiped/pitched/flopped anywhere from 50yds in to the goalpost which was my pin, also i tried a shot where you get 2 balls touching and take a normal swing bit of a trick shot if you will, the front ball scoots along the ground the rear ball which you hit, goes strait up high in the air practicly no distance pretty cool tbh,

so i was showing my mate and he wanted to try it so he set it up and failed, 2nd try got it up and so wanted to try it a 3rd time max power boom he hit it sweet, the ball popped right up into the air fast as you like propmtly hit the crossbar came back at him and hit him in the hand, he went down like a sniper just picked him off

im in stiches laughing, didnt belive it had hit him until 10mins later golf ball sized mark on the back of his right hand dimples and all

just wish it was on camera!!

I've done the two ball trick quite a bit back when I was in high school. I never did it for the height though.

I always did it in a bunker next to a green. In addition to the high ball going pretty vertical it has an enormous amount of backspin and usually comes back into the bunker (i.e. 20 feet forward onto the green, spins back at me, through the fringe, through the rough and back into the bunker). That was the fun part of that shot to me, not the height. watching a ball with 20-40 feet of backspin was pretty exciting.

thats what imma do next! course was busy yesterday so couldnt do it with not wanting to slow any play down, and knowing me i'd need a few attempts to get it right,

dont try it with good balls though! your gonna tear them up haha... even with rock-balls this makes them spin back heaps especially if you have headwind lol

I've don the two ball thing before. It's really cool if you do a flop shot. I have to get that on camera sometime.

    • Did you play the 2 holes with their temporary greens.  If so, I don't see why your score shouldn't count as it would normally.  I get the point that the hole does change but if everybody is playing the same conditions then I think it is fair
    • Just a suggestion.. do a left hand-only 'trial'. You can do in your living room. Ensure arm structure stays intact throughout the swing and the wrist does not break down until well after impact. It will possibly help you identify if it's a right side (trail) over/early-dominance, weight-shift timing, pivot stall, hand path issue, some combo of these, etc.
    • Yup, 3 triples, 8 bogeys and 7 pars I think.  So maybe 17 over.  But yeah, happy with the score, game and trophy
    • Why can't we easily fix the problems in our swing that we know about?
    • From what I heard over the weekend, Shedeur pulled a "Bo Callahan" with the Giants. Per Todd McShay: “Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit. An install package came in, preparation wasn’t there for it, he got called out on it, he didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it." You can have all the talent in the world (which I am not sure he has, as CU tailored the offense to his strength in a weak division ), but you have to act like a top round draft pick and not like an unproven legend! If you get drafter at 3 as a QB in the draft you are expected to lead that team, and preparation is part of that.  Playing ball in NY (any sport) requires you to deal with criticism, and deal with it as a professional.
