I know it's mostly preachIng to the choir here, but man is this a good ball and at the price probably a great ball. I used it starting last fall and through the spring. As the weather got better, switched to my stash of TM Reds. I really like the TM, but the NW weather this summer never firmed up things enough to need the extra spin. In fact I was coming up short on chips and putts most of the summer. Decided to bust out the Gamers on Tuesday and shot my low round/personal best of 73. Chips rolled out a little more, which I like, and the same with putts. Ponied up on Thursday and played a nicer course that I had never played before. Brought the Reds just in case, but after the first hole (driver, 9 iron to 15', 2 putt par) continued with the Gamers and shot 77. Today, went to a course I haven't played in a month and shot another 73. Now I know it's not all ball, but I think I got up and down more times in these 3 rounds than in the previous I don't know how many. Instead of leaving myself 6-8' putts after longer chips, I was 2-4' with more roll out. I think I will be sticking with the Gamers for the rest of the season.

I've found that I don't really care for urethane balls. I tend to go for the spinnier non-urethane balls for the same reasons.

I enjoy using the Gamer balls also, they're always in my bag.  I particularly like them early morning or when it's a little wet outside.

Just bought 4 boxes off ebay for 9.99/box.  After shipping, I paid only $1/ball total.  I'm not really fussy about balls, but it's a nice all-around ball with a good balance of distance, spin, and durability.

Does anybody know an online shop in Europe that still sells the Gamer V2?

I've been looking for it for quite some weeks now, but can't find any seller.

Any ideas?

thx and greetings

    • Short gym set at lunch;  bench press, four sets of five, 180 lbs.   Did a few of the medicine ball / driver drill too while I was at it.
    • I took a look at a 6,300 yard fairly easy course and it was 99% distance and then a 6,800 yard more challenging course and it was 97% distance. Do you have an example of one less that 95% or 90%? Maybe I am misunderstanding something. (6,310/220) + 40.9 = 69.6. Course rating is 70.0 with a 120 slope. Less than 1% other factors? (6,804/220) + 40.9 = 71.8. Course rating is 74.0 with a 140 slope. About 3% other factors? These are more extreme: (4,698/220) + 40.9 = 62.3. Course rating is 62.7 with a slope of 101.  (7,569/220) + 40.9 = 75.3. Course rating is 77.4 with a slope of 155. So long hard courses are 97% length and short easy courses are 99% length in these examples. I am new to this so maybe I am all wet.
    • I think in fairness what he means is Tommy's chances to win PGA Tour events are fairly similar in number to Rory's chances to win the Masters. I don't think he's remotely saying that Tommy and Rory are in the same league. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I took the comment as meaning if he keeps giving himself chances to win then eventually he will win one. Rory had a thing in his head about the Masters and won anyway. Tommy has a thing in his head about PGA Tour events. They do seem fairly analogous to me.
    • Don't get me wrong, I like TF from a nice-guy-next-door perspective but I was surprised at the nerves he showed on the 2nd putt on 17th. That was unmistakably a stroke of a player who had already submitted to the writing on the wall. Honestly I would not expect that out of a veteran tour player. I would have liked to continue rooting for him but gotta see a bit more fight from him. Rory could be reasonably accused of being a head case but he is a fighter. Big difference.
    • Um no. Rory Wins PGA Tour 29, EU 19, Majors 5, FedEx Cup 3 Tommy PGA Tour 0, EU 7, Majors 0, FedEx 0 He may win eventually, but he’s not in the same league as Rory.
