I'll probably end up heading to Community this afternoon. Unless the wife has other plans of course.

If you get a time that you'll be there let me know, looks like that's an hour and 15 away. By this afternoon it was supposed to be in the 60's which I can deal with, especially if I'm walking.

Scratch that, my friend asked me to help him work on his garage. If you go have fun and good luck.

Wouldn't say I missed it, I was still outside enjoying it.

The nice thing about Kittyhawk this time of year is the draining of the ponds. The coffers are full of recycled Pro-V1s, B330s, etc.

You didn't already wipe em out did ya?

Stupid Halloween party kicked my butt this weekend in more ways that one.

I'm sure there is plenty more down there, but I scavenged pretty good.

Managed to get 18 in on the Dales course yesterday after getting some work done at my mum's house. I don't think I've ever seen that many ball marks in my entire life. I swear that some J.O. must have taken a bucket of range balls and bombed away from 100 yards on multiple holes. Putting was a joke.

When I played 9 up here last week, the course was in pretty good shape still. They had aerated the fairways sometime before then but long enough ago that the holes weren't overly noticeable. The main thing that got me was the greens were slower than normal because they let the grass grow out a bit longer than usual. I'll be in Nevada next week, looked at the weather and it's only supposed to be in the 60's but I'll still be out golfing and checking out the courses there. My Aunt lives on a private course and said that a round there would be on her, and last I checked it was something like 150-200 for the guest fee there.... The other places I checked into are much more reasonable but still going to be around 80 or so.

I played a few holes Saturday. About froze my assets off. Unfortunately, I had to do the leaves at my mother-in-law's yesterday and didn't get out. Sounds like it was much warmer. I'm thinking that my under armor thermals are going to come in handy. I should have worn them Saturday.

I am scheduled to be in south Alabama this week and through the weekend. I though about shipping the clubs down, but now it looks like my trip might be cancelled.

Speaking of shipping clubs, my Uncle suggested shipping my clubs to Vegas instead of taking them with me and checking them as baggage. Trouble is, I don't necessarily trust they'd make it there in time. I don't know the cost of either shipping or checking them either.

Looks like it might be a bit of OK today. Work's dead. I think I'm getting out this afternoon.

Got to do it, because the weekend looks like crap.

If my brother wants to go, it would be Falcon (he's only played a few times). He just got in from Mass. last night and may have killed a bottle of wine afterwards, so it remains to be seen.

Otherwise, it's either Hawk, Eagle or Community.

Heat wave to hit the Miami Valley.

Weather guessers saying 50 degrees for tomorrow and everyone has abandoned me. Anyone want to go?

I've hung up the clubs for the year and we are supposed to have a get together for my father's birthday tomorrow. That and just got my back tattoo'd so I doubt it would feel too great to be out swinging clubs.

    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
