Agreed I understand you get busy but the email regarding tracking was along the lines of.....oh well I can't handle 300 boxes....I took 700 plus orders for a fundraising event last year. With three people and about 16 hours we has every box in the mail and accounted for.....then it took 3 of u a 10 hour day but everyone got tracking. They took to long to ship..... The items sucked....really 3 sleeves and ball markers for 55 bucks......3 sleeves of old mojos.....ugh raped....I think if they don't offer a refund I'll call my credit card company. I woudnt be so pissed if they hadn't said it would beworth 25 buck or more but they did. Deception.....to bad they are posted and advertised all over this forum. Great people, great retailers...except shotly and great knowledge on the sandtrap.......I'd boot em after this stunt.

WOW!  WOW!  WOW!  I cannot believe what I received for $25 plus $6 shipping!!

A black Top Flite hat that can be bought anywhere for $13!  And I do not even wear hats, I wear visors.  Guess it's going on eBay.

Apparently they're too blind to see the MSRP is $20; they said everything sent out would be worth at least $25 based on the item's original MSRP at release.  Friggin' joke.  I'll never do anything with Shotly again.  I do not see that company lasting very long considering how they handled this "deal."

If I were vindictive, I would reverse the CC charge and considering the deception in advertising, it would not be difficult to win the argument.

You know, at the very least I figured that they would send some funny character headcovers or something.

Exactly, you'd expect something at least briefly humorous or interesting.  So far almost everyone that has posted their items has received crap hardly worth the shipping cost.

BTW, mine was sent USPS...thus, no tracking number.  Lie #2...they didn't send tracking numbers not because it was too difficult but because they did not have them in the first place.

Don't be too sad. Everyone who didn't bite probably finds this thread extremely humorous and at least briefly interesting.

I did both the Shotly grab bag and the nailed it golf. Like others, my Shotly bag consisted of a callowoway towel and some ball markers.

My nailed it golf bag consisted of an ashworth polo shirt, taylormade hat, two sleeves of sxrion balls, tees, and a rain cover for my bag.  All for 20 bucks!  Was very pleased.

Pretty interesting reading their Facebook page.  Not too many happy campers...only one person seems to be pleased with what they received but they were still jipped relative to what they could have purchased the balls for at their local shop.

The SHOTLY DEBACLE.  Has a nice ring to it.

I can't even believe what I read here so far. This sounds like a business being ran out of one guy's home, who perhaps (unfortunately) lost his day job due to the economy and decided to partner up with a buddy and run a golf business. This definitely won't last long with no support, no updates, no information, no replies and no "making it right" in sight.

Pretty sad over all. I made a comment a long time ago in regards to Shotly when they ran the "put us in your signature and get randomly selected for prizes" scheme, saying that it was just a grass roots marketing scheme ran by 2 guys. Not to toot my own horn, but it really is pretty transparent at this point.

Sounds like I could hand my wife, who knows nothing about golf, a $20 spot and she'd come home with higher quality items from Golf Galaxy for me.

This is crap you'd expect from a claw machine at a cheap pizza place.  Maybe we should all dispute the charges based on deception.  I printed their deal page with their comments about the deal.

    • At a basic level, you can take those strokes gained numbers and if you know what the baseline strokes to hole out is from each distance, you can figure out how many strokes on average you will take to hole out from any given spot on the golf course. Then you can take that shot zone thing from shotscope and put it down there and see what the average is for each club and each target you choose. That's not exactly trivial to do though even with a computer, so the strategy guides (like LSW) use rules of thumb to make those decisions easier for you to make on the fly. Most of the time you'll come up with the optimal strategy and on the odd occasion when you don't, the strategy you come up with will be pretty darn close to optimal. If you're anything like me, then you'll probably wind up being a little too conservative with both club choice and target. Fear of penalty strokes can make you play suboptimally. Basically it's a bad idea to base your strategy on a shot that might pop up less than 1 in 20 times. If you happen to hit that shot, then today just isn't your day, but the 19 times you don't, you'll be in that much better of a spot.
    • That sounds like a small sample size issue. What if the PGA tour event he was trying to get into just happened to fit his game perfectly? Also, he could just be playing hot right now. I’ll put this in the wait-and-see category.
    • I've used a construction laser for years. Far less expensive than the PuttAim laser.
    • True, but as 15 year olds go, he has a much better chance of getting there than any of the rest of them. Kid can flat out play. He almost Monday'd into a PGA tour event a few weeks ago too. Missed in a playoff.
    • I'd bet against him having much success as a pro, because of, you know… the odds. You don't want to be the best 15-year-old in the game. You want to be the best 25-year-old in the game.
