Erik started a great thread on lag and since most golfers struggle with having enough I wanted to share some drills that I've recently learned from Erik(iacas) and Mario Bevilacqua.  The point of these is not necessarily to hit the ball perfect but to get the feel of how to maintain the lag or as we call it, the flying wedge.  We need this lag, shaft lean, flying wedge (whatever you want to call it) for optimum compression.  These drills will help exaggerate the motion.  You can also see that I am not trying to"hold" the angles but allow my body pivot, weight placement and arm positions do it for me.

Hi mvmac,

I have seen some video from Mario. What is his background? Is he a S&T; teacher?

No but he grew up learning from Andy Plummer, is the youngest authorized golfing machine instructor, spent time with Chuck Evans, Geoff Jones and Mac
