Well worth a few minutes to watch this. There are a few other threads on this forum about Edel putters, aim bias when putting, etc.

Virtually nobody can "get fit" as quickly as this guy. He was one of the few who was aiming inside the cup from six feet with his original putter. And this video doesn't show the speed testing that I think is almost a bigger and more important and revealing part of the process.

Edit: See post #10 for another great video.

Watch what video?  Is there a link?

The video is embedded in the post. If anyone can't see it, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLIz8xvLejU.

As a roughly 4-inch right aimer, very interesting to see in action! I got yer compensations right here, out the wazoo.

I had a very similar fitting process with Ken Collins at Kustom Clubs in NH.  My aim was just left of center from six feet.  We did make adjustments with length, loft and lie to optimize.  My usual miss was just short and not left or right.  The added loft helped compensate for my forward press.  It seemed to help my speed control, but we didn't do any speed fitting work.

Eric,

What goes on in speed fitting?

I hope you don't mind if I answer. ;-)

Basically distribution of weight. Head weights, counter-weights, shaft (midway between grip end and head) weights. Some combination of the three will really change not only your stroke itself but also the ease with which you can control your distance (speed).

I'm going to add this video to the first post as well, but here's another showing how important being fit for your putter can be:
