One thing ive been meaning to do.. Get all my clubs re-gripped in tour velvet, which would be my first choice(cheap, not flashy, gets the job done). Its something I've put off because the clubs in my bag are always changing. I ashamed to admitt because im always buying new clubs, I have 6 different drips in my bag on various clubs. Do you make it a point to get your clubs gripped the same? Do you think different feel and size in grips, on different clubs can lead to inconsistancies in your game?

I'm the same way. I have the Winn Excell RF wrap style on my Irons, 3 Hybrid and 3 Wood. I have the Winn G8 on my Gap Wedge and Winn Excell AVS on my putter, 2 Hybrid and Sand Wedge. My driver is a Golf Pride Tour Velvet. For a long time they were all Winn Excell RF. As I have put new clubs in the bag, I have experimented with new grips. Generally when I buy a new club, I have to lengthen it anyway, so a new grip is part of the process. I ordered my new irons with the stock Titleist Tour Velvet.

I have the GP New Decade Grips.

They are stretched because I need to promote more hand action otherwise it'll go waaayyy right, and because I have smaller hands.

Mine are all the same but I really notice when some are getting old. For example, I use my 60 deg a lot more than my 54. I've been losing some consitancy in my 60 and I think some of it is due to the old poor grip! I can definitely feel the difference when I grip them.

I don't see it as a particulary big deal, so long as you're satisfied with the grip. A bad grip on a club is enough to royally screw up my performance, so I can get quite picky about the condition of my grips and how they feel. I make sure however, that they're all the same size and if not matching in feel, then at least similar. Right now, all of my clubs have either Winn G8's or DSI's (depending on where I had them gripped since one place didn't have the latter and vice versa), but they both feel the same, and it works fine.

Same here. The key is size and tactile similarity. I have 4 different grips, but all feel pretty much the same, and that's all I really ask for.

I have to have all the same grips. First thing I do when I buy a club is regrip it. Two wraps of masking tape and a ping tour wrap grip. I also regrip my entire set at least once a year. Grips are your connection to the golf club yet they are so often overlooked.
