Hello from DE!

Hello all, Just joined and wanted to say hello. I've been browsing around and seems like some good threads and discussions going on here. Just some info about myself: I'm 29, engaged, and finishing up my Masters degree while working as a sales manager for a cellular carrier. As for golf it wasn't until 2010 and really 2011 that I started to get into it seriously. My goal for 2011 was to average in the mid 90's and break into the 80's. Well by July I broke into the 80's and stayed there. Before the year started I was a low 100 high 90's golfer with a best round of 93. This year I've golfed 60+ rounds and had a best round of 81 and 84 (no mulligans every stroke counted).

My goal for 2012 is to average in the mid 80's and break into the 70's. In 2011 I bought a new set of taylormade superlauncher irons and hybrids to go with my r7 which helped a lot (my previous clubs were 10 year old cobra blades). I just picked up a new putter for xmas and I am looking at a new driver for 2012. But my biggest pickup this year will be a new SW and LW. I know I need to get better within 100 yards and get my putts down to accomplish my goal.

So far my biggest struggles have been using my 60 degree wedge and hitting my 3 & 4 hybrid. I'll be practicing a lot with the hybrids, and the 55 & 60 degree wedges to hopefully help my game. Anyway hello, and I look forward to learning and talking golf.
