< $1 per ball challenge

With the new year approaching, how many people think they can play the entire year averaging less than $1 per ball? There seems to be tons of good deals on quality new balls not to mention the lost ball market. I'll stat the year with the last 6 TF D2 Feels I got 2 for 1 a couple years ago at .57 per ball. If those don't make it until spring, got 2 boxes at Dicks for .70 per ball. Spring and most of the summer will be 2 for 1 Gamer v2 at .75. If a tour level ball is needed, I just got some cally i(s) for Xmas and a variety of other quality finds to keep from buying any. The end of the year would return to the D2's until season is over. Would guess I'm not the only frugal golfer out there.

One dozen Pro Vs for 15 dollars at a local distributor. I will try not to lose any to keep the cost and scores down.

Not much of a challenge.  I play Top Flite Gamer V2 that I buy by the case for $10/doz off eBay.  Before that, I purchased used 5A grade Callaway HX Hot plus for even less per ball.  At my skill level (or lack thereof), I refuse to pay more than $1 per ball.

Shouldn't be too hard. I scored a nice deal on ebay about a month or so ago...5dozen Srixon Z-Star XVs for $54...

I went from about $4 per ball (new Pro V1's) to about $0.50 a ball (used AAAA quality NXT Tours). I have 2 dozen new Pro V1 's that were given as gifts but they will sit around unused for a long time. I preferred the used Callaway Tour balls anyways and have a nice size box of personally used ones laying around if I ever feel the need/urge.

My plan for the past few years has been less money out and increasing money coming in. I have increased the money coming in part to wear I can easily afford the new "top shelf" balls but I don't feel the need to buy them.

I know it may not be much of a challenge for some, but it could be for other's. I just think there are a lot of great deals out there especially for quality non-tour level balls, that paying $3-4 per ball is crazy IMO.

I have turned in to a golf ball hoarder when a bargain presents itself. Rock Bottom Golf: Wilson Staff D 25's for under a buck. The bargains are out there for sure just got to look around the various sites. I imagine new line ups of balls are due out soon so it will be a rush to get rid of the old stock Can also get Srizon AD333 new in box for just over a buck a ball.
