I finally found a hybrid I like

Over the last 12 months I've re-engineered my entire golf bag.  Kept the putter.  Kept basically the same wedge system, just replaced the clubs.  Everything else is changed and new.  I was trying to look at the whole bag concept:  start with what you want from a driver, then work down from there ensuring all the distance gaps are covered and you've got a good mix of shots available to you (high/low, draw/fade).

Everything was perfect--except the 3-wood to 3-iron gap.

Over that stretch, I started with a TM Rescue 07 TP, 17* with a steel shaft.  Great hybrid, but worn out.  In that stretch, I bought a Titleist 909h and a TM Rescue 11, and hit the Titleist 910h and a couple from Ping.  Nothing was working.

Enter the Adams Idea 12 Pro.  What an amazing club.  Small head looks great behind the ball.  Workable both ways.  Good medium trajectory, but can get it elevated by opening the face a bit (just like a long iron, really).  RIP shaft is very, very stable--I can really take a "RIP" at it without losing control of the clubhead or sidespin.  Normal swing is about 235, which is a perfect bridge between my 3-iron and 3-wood.

Through three rounds, I just love this club.

that's the toughest part of the bag with which to find comfort -- fairways to that first iron...

I picked up my Callaway 3hybrid 2 years ago on their outlet site for $60. 20*, stiff shaft...it works perfectly off the tee or off the deck. It's got a great trajectory, it looks good when I'm standing over it and I can hit it relatively well. Have to love the hybrids.

The Adams Idea 12 Pro looks sweet. I am playing the Idea Pro Gold and love them.

I have two Taylormade Burner 2.0 hybrids. The 18* 3H & 24* 5H. Great ball flight, distance & forgiveness. If I'm 180-220 yards out...all business! I don't carry a 3W, 3i or 4i in the bag.
