may I ask where did you go to be fitted by a launch monitor like that ?    The only ones I've seen are at Golfsmith & always a challenge to find somebody that knows what they're doing to even work the machine

Golfsmith has the same monitors as Roger Dunn, but the roger Dunn store in Santa Ana, CA has at least 8 lanes all with monitors. Plus there are fitting centers for Titleist, Callaway and Taylormade. Going to check out the Golfsmith superstore in Irvine as well, that might be pretty good too. My local ones in Pasadena CA have setups for lefties, so I like going to them. Their equipment is pretty well maintained and reasonably accurate. We have ranges nearby to "calibrate" the results. Plus my local golf courses have pro shops where they allow you to test clubs right on the driving range. The balls on the range go about 10% to 15% of a Titleist pro-V1, for my handicap they are virtually the same. I am sure that you probably have places within 30 miles as well.

I hit both the r11s 17* and RBZ 17* stiff flex.  I hit them both with an average of 260-265 on the launch monitor.  So I went with the R11s and like it just as much as the RBZ for $50 cheaper.  After buying the 17* I lowered the loft down to 15.5* to gain some distance and having the smaller head size to be able to hit it out of the rough easier.

I went into GolfSmith today to get fitted today on some irons. well it turned out my tour burner irons were perfect for me already. then I tried my tour burner driver and it was good except for my fundamentals where off in my swing.

So anyway when it came to my 3 wood which is a Taylormade 300 steel tour at 13 degrees the Launch monitor was not showing good numbers just a real long run out.

So Ron brought back a RBZ 15 degree and I hit it 230-240 and even 247 carry! Beating my old 3 wood by 20 to 30 yards and as long as my driver!!!

I walked out with a new 3 wood the RBZ just today.

Regular shaft 88, 90mph 135 ball speed  2500back spin 300 400 side spin. Crazy numbers eh?

First brand new retail club ever purchased. I wonder about the new RBZ driver now and how it would perform.

Santa Claus will have no self control at this point...

Standard RBZ FWs have very light shafts , about 45 grams. Make sure the shafts are not too light - otherwise, you'll start hooking or see your swing get wild because there's not enough weight.

mrbillinoc has the right idea - try different shafts.

Focus, connect and follow through!

You are Right about the weight WUtiger, I noticed it has a very light club shaft.  Is this why I had a little more swing speed than my usual? Im open to re-shafting in the future if it's needed. This club head must be revolutionary in design in function to give me such results? Did Taylormade make the shafts so light so hackers like me would get a few long balls on the launch monitor and be sold like I am? Or is it simply the 15 is better for than 13 with my swing speed? I liked my strong 3 had it for 2 years now.

I'll have to see how I handle the RBZ3 on the course.

Keep your eye on the white ball not the WHITE club head is what I kept saying to myself at set-up.

Well I just played a round at the Stonemount course at stone mountain georgia (super tight fairways) with this RBZ 3 wood. The damn thing was all over the place. No control, however it went further, way to far.  I am starting to think I spent money for nothing. I'll keep working with it, the RBZ.I  hope for better results. Might have to change the shaft. My old 3 13 regular 300 series at least it was accurate for me. Noticed it only worked on tight fairway not so well out of a little rough. Will be always working on technique.  It's funny on the launch at Golfsmith i was only 20 yards left or right of target with many swings and could draw or fade.
