I wouldn't want a busy clubhead like that personally, but I think those paint jobs are pretty cool, and there's bound to be a market for your talents.

I think they look pretty slick, not that it would change the performance at all. And like golfingdad said some golfers might find it distracting.  I like how you can make a unique style driver.

If you wanted to be patriotic you could always do your country flag or something of that sort. Or an emblem that means something to you. Family name or initials with a classy backdrop....

Thanks again mitch that sounds good i will give it a go,do you think keep colours plain ie black or white grey or silver?maybe pastel colours would work?

Well I think it all depends on your opinion for the background color. Check out this thread that another guy did on an old driver of his.

I think the ones that you did are pretty good too, I personally don't feel that it would be distracting for me when addressing the ball but thats all personal opinion.

Now if you were going to do an emblem or some kind of symbol you would probably want the backdrop to be fairly simple so it doesn't take away from the main part of the picture.   Even the blue sample you have would be good for something like that I think. I really like that finish!

They have some pretty good ideas. The possibilities are limitless

No problem, if they end up working out for you and the finish lasts good for you I would be interested in getting a driver done as well if your interested. I'll of course pay the shipping and what not if you are willing to do that. Let me know.

I like both of these.  Might not be my choice of colors, but I love the drip/splatter effect.  Personally I wouldn't find it distracting I don't think.

    • Day 27 - 2026-01-16 Played 18 with some of the usual "too many voices" going on when I'm working on swing stuff. Fun to get out in great bay area winter weather.
    • I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.
    • No one in the world is as smart as Phil thinks he is.
    • Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
