Tips for mental game in tournaments?

Hey guys, this is the one problem I have with the game of golf. It only seems to turn off when I play in tournaments. When I go out with friends and play tournament style rounds, I shoot low seventies and high sixties. But in a tournament I just go haywire and won't know what I will shoot. Can anyone help?

Forget about the pressure of doing well and just focus on playing 1 shot at a time.

I get what you're trying to say but I think it's almost impossible to "forget" about pressure.  It's there for a reason, because you care about doing well.  I think it's better to acknowledge pressure and then try to embrace it.

I'll offer my stock advice.  2 beers before you tee off and then one every 6 holes to maintain.

I think this is kind of "you have it or you don't".  Some athletes strive on competition, challenge, and "pressure".  It is very difficult to learn or just get.

Well if you're a future tour pro, then how are you possibly gonna play with 10,000 fans around the greens and tee boxes?

Exactly how high of a score are we talking?  High 70's?  80's?  Over 90?
