The course looks fantastic and is certainly a contender for the Scottish Open slot which is played the week before the British Open. A tough links course test the week before the major should prove popular amongt the pros.

They are not really close by. Aberdeen is quite a hike from St. Andrews.

Wow, i really wanted to hate this course. But it looks absolutely incredible, would love to play it someday. Doesn't change the way i feel about the man though.

i agree.   i think he's horrible.  but even horrible people to great things.  and this is a great thing.  i don't think you could make a golf course anywhere in the world (save for Bandon, OR). where people wouldn't get all up in arms angry about it.  thus i could care less about the drunken scots that are complaining about the course.   i look forward to playing this course.
