The hole was a short par 4, 291 yards. It goes slightly right off the tee and doglegs hard right at about 165 yards. I put a nice 7i on the right side of the fairway, just missing the single tree that obstructs approach shots from too far right off the tee. I had about 115 left, pulled my 9i, and swung it solid. It was perfectly on line, carried the bunker, took two hops and I heard it hit the flag. The green is slightly elevated so I didn't see it go in, but I was surely excited when I pulled up to the green and didn't see my ball. It's only been 6-7 weeks since I scored my first birdie, so this was very unexpected. I don't expect to earn many eagles in the fashion I did today, but I'm certainly taking it. :-)

Appreciate it, thanks. I have no expectation that I'll see another eagle for quite some time. :-)

Congrats man, it sure does feel great. I remember my first like it was yesterday. 80 yards, 3/4 swing, landed in front of the cup and rolled up about 2 1/2 feet for a 2 on a par 4. It sure as hell is exciting. Savor it, they are hard to come by for us mere mortals.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Titleist 913 D2 9.5* w/ UST Mamiya ATTAS 3 80 w/ Harrison Shotmaker & Billy Bobs afternarket Hosel Adaptor (get this if you don't have it for your 913)
Wilson Staff Ci-11 4-GW (4I is out of the bag for a hybrid, PW and up were replaced by Edel Wedges)
TaylorMade RBZ 5 & 3 Fairway Woods

Cobra Baffler T-Rail 3 & 4 Hybrids

Edel Forged 48, 52, 56, 60, and 64* wedges (different wedges for different courses)

Well done, congrats!

I've been playing golf for 20 years, and I've only had 2 eagles, but they were on par 5s.

I have never dunked one from the fairway on a par 4. Nor have I had a hole-in-one.

So enjoy it, you may never have one of those again in your life. Those are very rare.

Save that ball, put it in a case or something.

Congratulations!

My first eagle was also my first hole in one, when I was 16. Not counting the exec course I played when i was a kid that had like 230y par 4s.
