Looks like the cart button issue is fixed, sorry for any troubles.

Now for a custom tag I did for a customer today.  I really like this one.

And a video of it being cut.

Hi Guys,

Thought I would share a couple of custom tags I did recently.

The rear of Cameron's tag has the autograph he received from Jack Nicklaus engraved on the rear.

Your "game" is stepping up, man! Sweet! I particularly like the signature one (maybe I'm partial because I live near Columbus and have been to the course many times).

Thanks guys,

I have done a bunch of sand trap tags as well. I didn't wan to post pictures because a lot of them have different

names engraved then the purchasers name so I think they are presents.  Don't want to spoil a surprise!

Wanted to stop in and let you all know that I have updated the web site and added a couple of wen options.

First is a new finishing technique that I came up with for the bag tags.  This finish has the look of pewter

without the use of chemicals or paint. It gives the details some depth through shadows and I think it looks

pretty nice. The Fallen Soldiers tag below has this finish.

Second is a new ball mark size. A few people did not like the large 1.5" ball mark so I have added a smaller 1.25"

mark.  I am also offering rear engraving on the ball marks for no additional cost.  I did eliminate the name on the front

of the ball markers and went with initials so I could make the lettering larger.

Finally I am offering paint fill on the ball markers for a small up charge. Black, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red are available.

Thank you for all your orders and hope to hear from you soon!

Thought I would share a link to the Gtour.

http://www.facebook.com/golftour

They purchased customized golftags as awards for the winners at each course. Each tag is engraved on the rear with the name of the course and the Gtour logo.

I am trying to order this "custome machined golf bag tag" but am having some trouble doing so.

I can't even find out what it is made of or its size or how many letters can be on each line

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
