Supposedly this guy slapped his own mother across the face with a baseball cap and pushed her in the chest. Apparently hard enough to where she now has bruising. Im listening to ESPN Radio now and Cowboys fans are trying to defend the guy by saying "well his mom used to deal crack."   Really People????

what a dush bag, another one of "jerrys kids", he will get hurt the first game and then complain the rest of the year about he is not being treated right. no mistake he is a talented reciever but this is B.S.

Cowboys knew he was a ticking time bomb when they drafted him as all draft reports had his name in red for behavior issues.  Most were surprised he made it through the season without an incident so no surprise when I saw this.  The reports are exaggerating a bit in that I heard he hit her in the head and face with his hat, not his fist.

Those charges will will be dropped as soon as his mom realizes the checks stop rolling in if he's out of the league or in jail.  I think she comes down with a mysterious bout of amnesia.  Dez and his mom are both trashy people.

how about his mom is only 37.

what a scrub.  what kind of degenerate hits a woman, much less your own mother?  if you're gonna play for the cowboys and get arrested, at least do something cool like blowing coke with strippers in a hotel room - then show up to court in a full length mink coat and sunglasses.

not to knock irivn, he's come a long way since his playing days.

His mom is a crazy prostitute.  I doubt Dez did everything claimed.  I am a Giants fan and still feel like he did very little wrong here.  Waiting for more details to arise.

Prediction: As soon as his value goes up again, he'll be traded. He's an OK punt return guy, and in two years, he only has two games over 90yds receiving (104yd career game high)

He's projected to be their #1 receiver ahead of Miles Austin so not sure he'll be going anywhere soon unless Dallas has a taker who will give them back a #1 wide receiver or 1st round draft pick.  Jones knew of his reputation before they drafted him, I'm sure this incident wasn't a shock to the team.

I'm a Cows fan, but who cares? It will be settled by the first game, probably with a suspension of some type.

Yet another reason parents need to be their children's role models instead of athletes, celebrities, et al. I'm a Cowboys fan, and DB is a hella player when he's healthy. Personally, I don't care what these guys do off the field. Whether they're ghetto rats raised by crackheads or kids raised by decent folks, they can all screw up. I'm surprised anyone's surprised anymore.

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
