Keep it up Drew. I fully expect to give you Zero strokes by October 19th!

I would love for that to be the case!

Wow, I knew it had been awhile since I was practicing and trying to get better regularly, but did not realize it was over 3 years.  Time has been flying.

I'm going to try and start playing a lot more again and practicing regularly as well since the kids don't have a lot of activities these days and I have some free time.

Gotta go find and dust off the tripod too so hopefully I'll have something to post soon.

OK, here we go.  First videos in (apparently, about 3 years).  Took these a couple weeks ago:

These are from a couple of weeks ago and I got some good feedback from Mike on these.  I need to eliminate the excess knee bend and the arms hanging inward at setup, which like everything, is easier said than done.  In the swing, the goal for now is to try and turn the shoulders "back" towards the back leg rather than sort of extend the right side up and forwards (not sure if I explained it right, but I understood it when Mike explained it :))  Anyways, below are from today - my first time out trying these:

Mainly it's just nice to back out and playing more!

I haven't taken any more videos since those last ones, and I haven't been practicing a super ton, however, I have been playing on average about once a week.  I am working on a just a couple of things as I play, basically the same as above as Mike showed me, plus one other thing:

  1. Less knee bend and higher hands at setup
  2. A feeling of going back in the takeaway rather than tilting forward
  3. A longer backswing.  This seems to keep me in sequence better and inhibits my tendency to pull hook the ball, which I am wont to do on occasion. 🙂

Overall, I'm hitting the ball well and scoring well; but I need to temper my excitement on that because I've basically only been playing one course, that is my favorite as far as scoring is concerned.

Oh, and I bought my first new club in ages last week; a new 60* with more bounce than my current 58* so hopefully I'll have a little more confidence to use it more than the old one.
