I am looking to buy a Sand Wedge within the next month or so. Probably not within the next week, but probably by July 14th or July 15th, within that range. I have a HUGE gap between my 52* Srixon wedge and my 60* Cleveland wedge. I love Cleveland wedges, but my Dad just picked up a Cleveland 56* and he reall y likes it. However, I've tried it, and it's pretty heavy or something. I'd like something a little lighter then that. Even though I'm around a 20 handicap I still want a blade on my wedge. I do not have any feel with some type of big cavity back on my wedges.

Here are some options: (I HAVE AT THE MOST 100 DOLLARS TO SPEND)
Nike SV Tour Wedge
Mizuno MP T series
MacGregor Tour forged wedge

Maybe you guys have some more opinons. Once again, I am looking for 56* wedges under $100!

Driver Ping G10 10.5*

Irons Mizuno MP-57 5-PW
Wedges Srixon WG-504 52.08 Bridgestone WC Copper 56.13
Putter 33" Scotty Cameron Studio Select #2

I would definently check out Clevelands CG 10 or 11, or their 588 DTS RTG. The 588 is $110 but the CG series (besides the 12) is at $90 at TGW.com. Those are my favorites, haven't really hit anything other than that a lot, I'm not a big kid and I've never had a problem with their weight.

lol im not saying they are an extra 30 lbs heavier then different wedges i was just saying that the gunmetal 588 was head heavy then my 52* srixon gap wedge and i was a little surprised, that's all.

fred couples drilled three holes in the sole of his cleveland wedge to lighten it up. but wedges, especially 56* sand wedges with all that bounce, are very heavy clubs.

Ya, your 56* wedge is going to be a bit heavier. It's original design was for ponding into sand to launch the ball out. Also you will notice 56* wedges have a higher bounce for the same purpose.
I would get a wedge that is similar to what you all ready use and prefer.

I have a Cleveland CG11 gap wedge (52d) which I don't like because it feels very clunky and heavy. I have a Titleist Spin-Milled sand wedge (56d) which I love. It feels a lot more balanced than the CG11. Even with the 14d of bounce, I feel more confident hitting the Titleist off the fairway than the CG11.

I would definitely recommend checking out the Vokeys and comparing them to the Clevelands. Personally, when I have a few extra bucks in my pocket, I intend to replace the CG11 with another Titleist.

Echoing the thoughts of a few, I would recommend Titleist Vokey. I have three of them and think they're great.

I have noticed that Pro shops almost always have the Vokeys (SM, Oilcan, Chrome, etc.) for less than $100.

Perhaps the best thing you can do is to actually try several different manufacturers' wedges. By doing this, you can determine which ones work ( or feel ) best to you. Wedges are like putters. They are personal. So don't just take somebody else's recommendation. Decide for yourself by trying different models. Good luck.

I always liked the Titleist line of wedges, but ran across a good deal for a TM r7 SW on ebay. I must say that I really enjoy hitting it and it seems to be a great addition so far.
