I did have a 56* before.. but it was a sand wedge type.. and the head was really heavy.. the shape was more rounded as well.. it was just a nightmare. it really didn't have the touch i wanted.. and i knew i needed something else.

I'm not sure what the bounce is on the club in my first post.. but i doubt its much, it's more like a blade type.  Really don't think I should roll with the 60*, you gents are making solid claims against it.

I will purchase the 58* tomorrow and practice a bit before my round on Monday.

think it will be the best of both worlds. I'll update the thread with my feelings and progress, if you will, with the club.

Agree with the bump and run comment.. I need to use that a bit more.. I feel like I try too hard to just see it pop and stop.

Just give a try and see if it works. I've seen 10 HDCPs who can't hit a LW, and 25 HDCPs who can.

Also, do you have a SW?

Well.. I guess you can say this club is my sand wedge when I'm near. It's the 56* wedge that I have that I mentioned above. The one I despise and has a heavy head. [which does well in sand]

The exact club [below]

I'd consider another 56* wedge with a higher bounce. 14* or so. Stay away from the goofy type "specialty" wedge like this one that you hate......really designed for people who can't or are unwilling to learn how to play out of the sand. I think you'll find that a 56* wedge, opened up makes a fine lob wedge and will make a natural addition to your gap wedge.

So I went to Dicks today to pick up the 58* or 60* Acuity wedge in the first post.. but I went there and they only had the 60*.. although it was what I wanted.. I just felt like I really shouldn't get the 60*.

I look over and see the Maxfli C3 Buy one Get one wedges.. I see 58*, 56*, 54*, 52*, and 50*.

I decided to go with the 58* [yay] so the best of both worlds of a 60 and 56..  and since I already have a Gap Wedge that is roughly a 52*..  I got the 54*.

So..  wedges done. $80 each.. BOGO, -$25 because of my coupons.

Hooray.
