Has anyone used them? Like them, dislike them? How do they compare to the CG 10s in head shape, etc?

Thanks,
Ryan

I have, but I'm coming from Vokeys, so I can't really say how they compare to previous Cleveland wedges. Review is about a month away.

yeah would like to know also. dont know what my first wedge purchase should be. Hit a big birtha my grandfather gave me and them some nickel 60 but would love to get some wedges i have confidence in.

I've hit them in the store...seem to be similar to the 900 series from Cleveland with the added bite in the grooves. Looks is real similar to the CG10's headwise and lookwise as well.

They don't bite nearly, NEARLY as much as my spin-milled wedges, even after the SMs have been worn in.

New, there's absolutely no comparison. None. If I didn't know they had zip grooves, I wouldn't think they were any different than the non-zip grooves.

I haven't hit them other than screwing around in our local golf store. It seems to me that the hitting area is slightly larger than the CG10. Also, since I don't believe they (Cleveland) are using the CMM material, the weight of the club is lighter. It certainly felt noticebly lighter to me. It looks to me like they are going back to a head shape resembling the 588. The CG10's are more rounded. I'm also not sure what Cleveland was thinking with the bounce angles on their CG10 line. Sure, they have tons of options but they all seemed to be higher than what they should be, ie the "standard" bounce in the 60 degree is 12 degrees, and "low" bounce is 8 degrees, which still seems a little high to me for a low bounce LW. They are going back to more standard bounce configs with the CG12.

I'm considering making the switch myself. I'm on the fence with the CG10's... some days I like them and some days I don't. Actually, I'm thinking of "downgrading" if you want to call it that, back to my 588's. The more I think about wedges the more I think that the 588 can't be beaten. Sure there are higher tech wedges out there now, with new materials, spin milled/zip grooves, whatever but I'm not sure there is a better, more consistant wedge than the 588.

Bigger U grooves than they have had before, I believe. I don't think they're milled like the Vokeys or some other wedges...

Actually, according to Cleveland they are milled.

I may soon be on the hunt for a new 56* wedge myself.

Currently playing a 588 that was ground and weigthed after lots of trial and error and which I am reallly hesitant to give up.

Grooves are starting to wear out though :(

I may just hunt ebay for a 588.
