I don't understand why they are called blades, when they are perimeter wieghted like my Anser 4. The only true blades were the Bullseye and Lefty's blade, whatever that was.

I have used all kinds except the newer "high tech" styles. I currently have an Anser, and old Bridgestone mallet, and a couple of flanged blades.  The one I always go back to is an old Wilson Geo Low Original 600  flanged blade that I have had for over 30 years.

I've got a genuine old blade from my father's Spalding starter set. No fancy face plate or perimeter weighting. I putted with for quite a bit until I went through a real bad stretch where it seemed I couldn't align it correct for short putts, so I switched over the Odyssey 2-ball, which really does help me set the line properly.

So mostly it's the mallet, but I'm not opposed to switching back and forth as the mood suits me.

TaylorMade Ghost Spider.... It is 34" length with a 360g steel head, with an insert in the face.  Nice alignment system on the top, and a jumbo Winn putter grip.  Pretty solid setup.... But my next purchase will be an Edel putter.

Perhaps, but I can't answer the poll!

After 5 years with a Scotty Cameron blade, I played my first round last weekend with my Scotty long putter (mallet) - really wont compare the 2 since the long putter is new.

I went through about 3 putters a year when I first started back into golf.  Finally I went out and bought the most expensive putter I could find primarily so that I would feel to guilty about taking it out of the bag after the amount of money I had spent on it.  It seems to work.  I have had the same putter in my bag (blade style) for 5 years and have dropped my putting stats from 31 ppr to 29 ppr.  I did lose confidence in my putting last year and tried a mallet putter and found that my old faithful was soon back in the bag.  I guess my moral is that it doesnt matter what you use as long as you keep using it.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
