I love the comment about Phil being an amateur for missing it on the low side...

Did you see Phil's post-round interview?  He looked completely flustered; it was like the Sunday evening interview at Winged Foot all over again.  I wouldn't be surprised if he shoots 80 today.

Yeah, there's no such driver as x hot xtreme. There's razr fit extreme (beachcomber just got one) x hot, and x hot pro (hopefully mines in its way soon!)

It's hard to believe that small of a margin kept him from 59 or heck possibly 58 but it was a solid round none the less

Driver: i15, 3 wood: G10, Hybrid: Nickent 4dx, Irons: Ping s57, Wedges: Mizuno MPT 52, 56, 60, Putter: XG #9

59 is amazing and obviously extremely rare (5 ever I think?) but I can't imagine that four "2's" on your card in one round is that much more common?

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but you're right. It could have VERY easily been 58. What a round!

On Sky, Denis Pugh (ex coach of Monty) described it as the worst shot he'd ever seen on the PGA Tour, Mark Roe's comment was "at least he carried the bunker" which is just cruel.

After a pedestrian start to his second round, Phil's back in the business of making birdies; he's down to 15-under. At some point, we'll have to wonder if he's going to just lap the field on the weekend.

If he finishes eagle-birdie-eagle-birdie he can shoot another 60.  He already got the first eagle and 17 is drivable.  Crazier things have happened.

I'm looking for him to finish 44 under par at the end of the day Sunday. :)
