I just realized that the shafts in my wedges are S200. I have always assumed they were S300 like my irons. Is that the typical shaft  for wedges?

The difference between S200 and S300 is very slight and you shouldn't worry about it too much. The 200,s are slightly lighter than the 300,s by 3 grams, I would be more worried if I had found a middle iron with a different shaft. Most people have odd wedges which don't match the rest of their clubs. True Temper's spinner shaft is 124 grams, the same as your S200. Question, do your wood shafts all match? Again, most people carry different woods with different shafts. Check out  golfclubshaftreview.com  for shaft specs. Don't have sleepless nights about it.

I bought a 56 vr pro with stock s400 shaft. I play px 5.5 flighted in my irons plus. 5 inch. I am not liking the s400 dg shaft. Is this common due to not using a stiff shaft.with my irons?

Project X 5.5 is a stiff shaft.

The Project X 5.5 is a Firm shaft, the Project X 6.0 is Stiff.

And the difference is......?  I currently play 5.5s  and have hit the 6.0s numerous times.  If 6.0 isn't an X shaft, I don't know what is.

This has to do with the problem that golf shaft makers don't have an industry standard for what is regular flex, stiff, etc.

Some clubfitters are starting to use the frequency cycle matching (FCM) scale for comparing shafts of different models and makes. The FCM metric gauges flex by determining cycles per minute a shaft vibrates when tested on a measuring scale. The higher the FCM rating, the stiffer the shaft. A shaft that vibrates 265 cycles per minute has a FCM = 6.5, which is fairly stiff. (To go from cycles per minute to FCM, you basically subtract 200 and convert the remainder into a decimal value).

Let's compare "regular" shafts.

TT Dynamic Gold R300 = 4.8 FCM

"Regular" ProjectX 5.0 = 5.5 FCM

KBS Tour Regular = 5.0 FCM

So, you have more than half a flex difference between R300 and PX 5.0 / This balances out somewhat on clubhead speed: the R300 is 12 grams heavier than the PX.

Harmonious , you hit the daily double!!! DG X100 and PX 6.0 both have FCM = 6.5 / For more details, check out chart below from the GolfWRX website.

    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
    • Day 1 - 2025-12-20 Starting a new streak, of at least 1. With rain dumping for the next week in the north bay area, I'll be a lot of outdoor net work and maybe some putting. About 10 minutes of 7 iron work, focused on the usuals: weight transfer, keeping hands behind me. I'll have more time in the coming days for video review and maybe some Hack Motion.
    • Day 40 (20 Dec 25) - got in a few reps with the 55° wedge - focused on low flighted spinners from about 10 yds in, then wrapped up the session with a few bump and runs chips with the 5i using a putting type stroke.
    • Day 26: did my drill in the driveway for a bit. Feeling pretty decent about the change.
