Golf. I like the 50 or so pages the magazine dedicates to stopping specific problems with people's games. At least once a month, I'll have a problem that's listed in the book, and try to fix it like so.

Not particularly a fan of Golf Digest - not many of the articles caught my eye. Although by now I really wish I hadn't tossed the issue with Stack and Tilt in it, because I really want to give it a shot.

I subscribe to Golf only because when I decieded to order a golf magazine, they had the best deal. My dad get Digest and they seem to have bigger name's for their articles like Tiger, Butch and Leadbetter. That hasn't swade me to switch magazines though.

I subscribe to both. I can never read too much golf.

My pick is Golf Digest. While Golf may have more lessons in each issue, Golf Digest's articles tend to be more interesting (and better written) and their coverage of the game and the players is much better. Also, Golf Digest's equipment reviews are much better.

I get Golf Digest and I like it. Sure there are pages of useless garbage but what magazine doesn't have that? I find it more interesting than most of the other Golf Mags I've read.

I get them both but I personally find that GolfWeek and GolfWorld have the best information, at least for my tastes. I probably would give the edge to Golf Digest too.

Neither, which wasn't one of the options in the poll.

Right now I am getting GOLF magazine, but it's a free scubsciption. For some reason Time-Warner offered a free subscription to their customers in my area.

I gave you the option of "other", which is similar to "neither".

Man, that would be a very difficult choice. I think that every month, one is better than the other but over time that seems to even out. I looked at the last few months though and picked digest, because it seemed as though I read them more intently and retained info better.

Its funny that this question comes up now. I haven't really been heavy on either magazines as of late, but as a kid I'd always had a subscription to Golf Magazine. But, I got my hands on the latest issue of Golf Digest. It had a really nice interview with Arnold Palmer, and I guess Tiger Woods writes articles for Gold Digest too. (along with other top touring pros). I've been waiting on pulling the trigger on getting myself a GD subscription.

I don't know if I would categorize what tiger does for GD as "articles". There are some nice tips, but 2 paragraphs doesn't count for me as an article.

I personally subscribe to GD, Golf, and Links magazine. I like how Links focuses on courses around the world. I like things in GD like "What's in my bag". I like breaking 100, 90, 80, 70. That stuff helps.

Golf Digest here..I like the little booklets in each issue. I tear them out and put them in my bag. They just have little quick fixes and tips that are pretty interesting. It's also the only magazine that Tiger, Ernie, Anika, Butch Harmon, Leadbetter, and many other of the game's top players and teachers write for. Articles are interesting and fun to read. Might end up with both though since Golf is running a special right now.

    • I don’t measure my intake either. I generally have a black coffee, a bottle of soda, some sweet tea at home, and anything in between is water. An ice cold bottle of water is one of my favorite things. It feels like an immediate refresher for my body. I’ll admit that I need to drink a little more though.
    • For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.
