Wonderful swing. Steeper up swing - Your finish off is way too low.

Losing distance probably , try to achieve a flat wrist  through impact less wrist before impact. Your standard should be hitting 6 irons 195yards 7iron 185yards easily.

What flex are you using for your irons? Curious.

Kudos

Thank you for the compliment!

Can you clarify? its kind of confusing. You say achieve flat wrist through impact but then less wrist before impact.

As for flex. I just got fit at a place called Izett near my home. They are really good and have a slightly different way of testing than most. as oppose to fitting off of swing speed they load test the shaft and how it moves in the swing. I got fit for shafts that freak out at 6.0. For the last 3-4 years i fel as though i was over fit. I played project x 7.0 for about a year and then got dynamic goldx-100. i was also fit into a graphite design Di8x driver shaft.. all of which i think attributed to my decline of playing good golf. I couldnt feel the head of the club and lost all feel.

Mike I will be taking new video of me trying to accomplish the "stretch" and post it in the next day or so! Thanks for your help.

Let me first say that I love your swing. Balance, tempo, power. High handicappers, this is how you do it!!!

Only thing I might add is getting the club a little more down the line rather than laid off at the top (harder to do with S&T;). This would accomplish fixing the push cuts when you don't get back to the ball in time. I think comment that suggested increasing hip angle (and by corollary shoulder angle) will help fix this. That said, Foley's method with Tiger has him a little laid off and it's working really well for him, but I think some of that is eliminating the left side of the golf course for Mr. Woods.

And go work on your short game because you should be better than a 2

Maybe it's just me, but it looks a bit like your weight doesn't get enough forward into impact.. the finish looks like the weight is properly forward, as though after impact you push the rest of your weight from your right side, but after impact instead of before.

Just what I see, can't say for sure what it feels like when you hit it though.

Lots of good stuff in this swing!

Driver: 10.5* callaway Razr Hawk Tour - 350 yards(usually into the wind, it can be windy here. at least 400 with a little wind behind me)

Hybrids: 2 and 3 callaway Hybrid razr tour (312 and 287 respectively)

Irons: 3i-10i callaway forged standard length(278, 263, 250, 235, 221, 213, 201, 190)

Wedges: callaway jaws cc 52* 12 approach, 56* 16 sand, 60* 13 lob (0-185)

Odyssey Black tour #9 putter(5 ft, i'm always at least within 5 feet on my approach shot)

I wonder who on this forum is a PGA tour pro, disguised as a normal player..

2013: play in the US amateur qualifier

Thank you very much for your compliment!

I have actually been working on steepening the hips so i will post a new video in another day or so and we will see if the club position changes as you mentioned.

I have also been working on the short game a ton especially around the greens (chipping, pitching) I attended an AimPoint class towards the end of the golf season this past year and then unfortunately broke my ankle not to long after it...long story short i never got to really practice it and have started this season by doing so..so hopefully this season will result in lower scores!!

OK all so here are a couple vids after i have been working on feeling more stretch in my right side at P4 (top of back swing) my ball striking had been great! I am starting to get the ball to start a little more consistently in 1 direction. Obtaining this "stretch" has also appeared to steepen my hips as well!! All in all the changes have only made things better and more consistent. I think i still need to work on tucking my pelvis a little more under through the ball and also the neck tilt at address as Mike had suggested in his last post. But thank you for the help thus far!
