I will be going to Hilton Head for my brother in laws wedding in May. I figure scheduling a few rounds will give me some time away from the family for a few hours. My wife has 10 siblings so being around that much family all day every day for a week and a half gets a bit trying.

So if you could play 4 different courses on Hilton Head which ones would you choose? The condo we are staying at is right on #18 at the Arthur Hills course at Palmetto Dunes so I am guessing that will be an easy one.

Which others would you choose?

Palmetto Dunes has three decent courses (Arthur Hills is my least favorite, but OK), and if you are staying there the price is pretty good. Port Royal has a couple of good courses, and there are some decent ones right off the island like Old South and Hilton Head National. Of course, how can you go to Hilton Head and not play Harbour Town? Very pricey, but the best course on the island (outside of a few private ones).

Totally second the Palmetto Dunes recommendation; the Hills course is actually my favorite of the 3, and the RTJ at Palmetto Dunes is great as well.  The DL3 course on the corridor is nice too (Eagle's Pointe?).  And then there's Harbour Town...

Thanks for the replies. It is tough looking at the courses websites and trying to decide so input from people who have actually played there is always helpful.

I'll reiterate that if this is probably your only trip to HH, play Harbour Towne.  I went for a long weekend for a wedding, and only got in one round at the PD RTJ course (which is a nice track).  My wife and I weren't overly impressed with HH as a whole, and didn't plan on going back.  I really regretted not playing HT, but wasn't really willing to make a trip back just to play it.

Luckily fate gave my wife a conference to attend last year (and this coming year as well) that picked up the tab for a return trip, which allowed me to get back and play it.  Definitely glad I got a chance to play it.  As I said, I wasn't overly impressed with HH as a whole (it's okay just not an easy place to get to from where I live, and IMO not as good of a value of other places we visit), but Harbour Town is one track I'm glad I've played.
