/me makes a mental note: SoL shot 87 today. Remember to factor that into his handicap.

Well, based on the course rating and slope...that would make me an 18 handicap if I did that every time. And considering I shot a 108 yesterday, that's definitely not the case. lol

In fact, my last 3 18s have been:

103, 108, 87. The 103 and 87 were at the same place from the same tees.

No. You'd only have to shoot it half the time. :-)

Nothing yet... that I know of. I'm sure Erik will post a confirmation as soon as he has one though. I also don't see the price being anywhere in that ballpark, unless you intend on buying things (shirts, balls, lessons, whatever...).

Yeah. I was planning on buying a new car anyway, but wanted to save up a little more first. Oh well.

I'm looking at a brand new Hyundai Genesis Coupe tonight...274 HP, 6 speed manual. Also checking out the Subaru BRZs. I'll probably go cheaper though unless something blows me away.

Maybe a Scion TC or something...

I would have gone with something more sporty, but in an attempt to placate my woman I got a more "family friendly" version of a sports car. That hasn't stopped me from researching all sorts of aftermarket upgrades that will boost the performance of what I got, haha. For what I spent I could definitely have gotten something in a 2 door with more horses. Ended up she was still completely pissed off that I got a new car and still refuses to drive it after almost 3 weeks... Should have just gotten what I wanted.

*edit*

I guess I should mention part of what pushed me to get it is the lifetime drive train warranty that means I pay no more than 300 to replace anything in the drive train. Also I paid for the extended warranty that covers everything but breaks/tires/belts and it would cost me only 100 for the next 6 years/75,000.

The date is confirmed yes. It should be well under a hundred too. ;-)

I'm waiting on the 2014 Z51 Stingray. Big time powerhouse at the price point. I never thought I would drive a Chevy, but after weeks of research... I think I'm sold!

Also good to know that the date is confirmed as well. I'm free and good to go that day as far as golf is concerned, but it looks like I may not be able to stick around long after.

Stop being so dramatic...we expect you to suck anyway, so worst case scenario, we're all correct.

Ouch.....

I think I'm starting to get a case of the something that would cause me not to be able to go now!

lol

Seriously though, don't get too discouraged. The day after my lesson with Erik, I shot one of the worst rounds of the season. All I had to do was forget everything he ever told me, and I was fine.

(Kidding...a week later though, I shot a personal best...so stick with it)

I'm sure it'll be ok, it seems to be pretty normal for it to be horrible the first time out after a lesson because so many thoughts are going through the mind. I have enough time for some more range visits along with 2 more league nights and maybe one more regular round of golf.
