Erik, that should be about right. Last 3 rounds have been 87, 94, and 92 on average courses. So whatever that would translate to...

I've been away from the forum for a while and am just getting back into it. Wish I had been around sooner to see this, sounds like a great time. Next year for sure. Have a great time everyone.

I should get final confirmation on the schedule and everything else later today.

For now here are the groupings - Bob, Spencer, and Jerry are Medicus folks (Spencer is Bob's kid) so they can fill out some foursomes.

That'll probably be one of the longest courses I've ever played. Better eat my Wheaties that morning...

After looking at the scorecard, looks like there's still some pretty good scoring opportunities though.

I absolutely can not wait...super pumped...

Will do. I'll wear as ridiculous an outfit as I can find.

It's a damn shame we didn't get grouped up!

If the other 3 guys in my grouping dress conservatively, I'm going to look like Rickie Fowler at a black tie affair....

Ok, so don't wear a black tie. Good to know, I'll go with the blue pinstripe one instead.

Three things:

  1. They're going to film testimonials.
  2. You're getting to play at a fairly nice club that, for better or worse, has its traditions and mindset.
  3. You're representing The Sand Trap and, by extension, Mike and I.

Please, everyone keep these things in mind when you choose your outfit. Apologies if it steps on your style a bit, but this isn't your typical day at your typical muni, either. Thank you.

Okay, just talked to Bob. Everything should be set.

- 9am arrival times for everyone (if you show up early I apologize now - we'll probably be too busy to chit-chat as we'll be helping set up a few things).

- 9:15 quick 5SK clinic, highlighting some of the training aids and things you can use to improve at home.

- 10:00 demo day and individual quickie lessons

- 12:00 lunch ($)

- 1pm - Golf.

- 6pm - Dinner somewhere nearby.

Gene may take Spencer's place. So Gene, Jerry, and Bob are the first three fill-ins. Of course, that continues to assume everyone shows up. :)

By ridiculous, I mean bright ridiculous colored shirt with matching hat/white belt combo. I'll do my best Fowler. It'll be a collared shirt and more than likely golf pants or at the very least, golf shorts. Not a wife beater with gravy stains and jorts. lol

    • Played Musgrove Mill GC today. 72.3/155. First round in 4 weeks and shot 44-39. 2 triple bogies on the front and horseshoed 4 putts today. Overall, 10 fairways, 8 GIR and 31 putts.  Set a goal today to par the 3 toughest holes (4, 18 and 9) and birdie 10 or 12 (which I have never birdied). Parred 4, 9 and birdied 10. Crushed my drive on 18 and had 139 left, but in casual water. Dropped back a little ways and took an extra club. Hit my 8-iron well but it came up short. Bunker shot from wet sand left me an 18’ for my goal. Read the break well but perhaps an inch too much break, and a touch heavy on the speed. Ball circled the hole 270* and tapped in for a bogey. Handicap dropped 0.1.
    • Day 143: 5/18/24 Practiced prior to round today. All aspects of the game.
    • I’m sad that no player got arrested this morning. It should be a feature now for every tournament.
    • Played around with this a bit. Not getting the spin up. This was even on a green that is pretty severely sloped towards me, clean lie, and a soft green. Maybe higher spin is just not my thing.
    • Why are they showing almost every shot by Theegala? Burmester also gets a lot of TV time. Then suddenly someone at +2 or -1 missing a putt. At least throw in a shot now and then from the others in the top 20.
