With The Open going on right now I'm hoping for a couple big names up top for Sunday, with Tiger being in the last group and playing well. That way I can get out and play a round and hopefully the course will be fairly uninhabited with everyone watching Golf instead of playing. Am I alone in this or anyone else have a similar idea?

Most golfers don't watch majors. The course will be about as full as it is normally. Some others might DVR it, but they're not giving up their once-a-week chance to play.

Yes. Sometimes, I catch a glimpse of the Golf Channel at golf course restaurants.

I am!

6:45am both Saturday and Sunday, maybe some afternoon rounds too.

I heard there are some groups playing over in Scotland and some little sheep track too.  Apparently they're doing a 4 day tournament.

The head pro at the course I used to frequent said their busiest weekends corresponded with the majors. I guess watching golf makes a lot of people want to play that otherwise wouldn't. I know I want to play when I watch it on TV.

Golf as a spectator sport should be played at double speed on the tv. Then the announcers would appear to be speaking normally. :-)

I'll play my usual 630am tee time and be finished by 930'ish.........A DVR is a beautiful thing... I'll watch the Open on a delay and FF past the parts I don't want to see.

I'm a bit surprised that every household doesn't have a DVR by now........

I'm planning on playing at least a round Sunday. get my new clubs tomorrow so got to go test them out and see how they do.

There was a big party of people watching the open. Never saw that many people converging on the course before. The driving range was extremely crowded.

The course was pretty much wide open as everyone was watching the open.

I agree, but it's funny though how many people I know who *must* watch sports live. Maybe they're afraid of spoilers?

I've grown to accustomed to life with DVR in relation to sports that I never lead with "Did you hear about Phil winning the Open?"  Instead it is "Have you caught up on the Open yet?"

Nothing worse than a spoiler.

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
