At least the Jets won, based on yesterday it appears  Geno Smith > EJ Manuel

More like, Geno with all the time in the world against the bills 2nd string defensive backs > Ej manual against an unrelenting pass rush

C'mon dsc, I'm a Jet fan it's not like I get many opportunities to gloat over a victory.  I have to take them when I can get them. :-P

On a serious note, there's no way that Bills team wins 8 games this season with their schedule.

You're probably right about the record. I think they'vegot a lot of talent but until the defense gets things straightened out, they won't win many games.

Yeah, I think we'll both be fighting it out to not finish last in our division.

Jets D looks decent so far.  EJ has the height advantage over Geno, and may develop into a good QB if the Bills stick to one system for a few years.  Changing systems all the time wreaks havoc on young players.

right.  We switch coaches every 3 years.  The other problem is that if he becomes good, he won't stay.  Either he'll be unhappy and leave, or the team won't pay.  See Jarius Byrd (asking for a trade), Marhsawn Lynch, Antione Winfield, Jabarri Greer, Demitrius Bell, Jason Peters, Andy Levitre, Paul Pozluzny, Nate Clements, Lee Evans.  When you fill a hole, the point is to then use the next draft to fill a different hole.  But the bills like to cut guys then use the draft to replace them.  Its like running in place.

That is the problem with today's NFL. That is why Welker is not with the Pats. You did have one of the all time great coaches in Marv Levy. It is hard to find someone of that quality today.

You did have one of the all time great coaches in Marv Levy. It is hard to find someone of that quality today.

Welker is not with the Pats because the Pats didn't want to pay him and the Patriot management is high on Edelman.

I think it's more the first one. They *****footed around paying Edelman this past offseason too.

Doesn't matter. It was and wasn't about the money in my opinion. He felt snubbed by the team he played for...and was willing to go elsewhere for less.

I agree, ownership and GM were very high on Edelman and didn't see the value in Welker long term.  I'd guess Welker felt Denver was closer to getting to the Super Bowl than New England.
