Got my X-20's a few weeks ago and I love em!!

Actually, when I started reading your post and scrolling down, I was hoping you listed the X-20's. Go demo them asap (you should demo all clubs for your own liking) and see how much you like em.

Mizuno's new clubs are really good too....almost bought em instead of the Callaway's but I'm glad I made the choice I did.

Best of luck to you!!

really depends on your game and what you are looking into doing with your new set... there are some super game improvement irons and some transition sets in there...

the ping rapture is probably your highest value club in the group, along with the callaway fusion

I've hit the raptures and they are pretty nice feeling club, a little strange at address as it is with most pings but its something you can used to

Ditto. It would help if you let us know how good you are hitting the ball. Super game improvement irons really can help you get the ball in the air easily but they come in big bulky shape. Game improvement irons such as X-20, r7, etc. still offer you forgiveness but it requires better ball striking ability. This type of irons is also good as a transition between high-mid-low handicap.

As far as iron recommendation, too bad you don't get regular Fusion as an option although the wide sole version is there on the list. Well, I'd probably choose either X-20 or r7, because I've heard great reviews of them. Anyway, you should try everything before you buy. Good luck on the hunt!

If you live near Memphis, as I do, you have the opportunity to try a variety of different clubs since there are so many different retailers in that area. Since you are so new to the sport, I would suggest you consider game improvement clubs by Cobra, including their hybrid clubs, or a blended set by Cobra, Cleveland or Adams ( not that any of the clubs you've displayed in your post are not good, they all are teriffic; I'm just adding to your list ). By all means, get fitted for the clubs; i.e. correct lie, shaft length, shaft flex, type of shaft, and correct grip size. All these factors are important components for getting the most enjoyment and opportunity for improvement from your clubs. Try not to be seduced by the hype of any one club or brand, just go for the club that gives you the most forgiveness in a package that looks and feels good to you. Good luck.

There are some significant differences in club values in those choices. The cynic in me thinks you should get the Raptures, Fusions or R7 CGBs and then sell them on eBay. Use the resulting money to go shopping for whatever clubs you want, plus maybe a nice driver and wedge.

If you are looking to keep the clubs though, the clubs mentioned above also happen to be the most "ultra game improvement" of the bunch. If you are just starting out, any of those should work great.

I used to have the R7XDs and thought they were great clubs. They are REALLY long (strong lofts, "hot" face and ultralite shafts at work) but they have also been discontinued by TaylorMade and can be purchased for significant discounts both on eBay and at the retailers.

There is really a lot to consider, such as how much you want to devote to the game, whether you have goals in the sports, etc.... If you just want to play an occasional round now and then, I'd go with the Raptures, as they are a real improvement iron. If you're dedicated and want to make the effort, I liked my r7's. They come with a t-step 90 shaft which is very light - if that is your preference, but you can also shaft them with other, heavier shafts.

Ideally, it would be to your advantage to find a place where you can hit some of these, and going further, under the eyes of a pro who can offer some guidance based on what he sees with your swing... Ultimately, if you try, you'll make do with whatever you choose

Thats amazing, nice club choice there. Id try some pings. But like everyone else says. Demo them all first.
