I've been playing off and on for a few years. I use to go to to the driving range and just practice hitting the ball out of the ranges, it never helped my score! Lately I've been getting more serious about becoming more rounded, and slowing/calming my swing down. My current handicap around +18 Ball flight I would say mid Trying to get rid of hitting ten good shots in a row then one bad swing messes me up for 5 or 6 more. Think you need to turn your hips much more on the backswing.  Turn the right foot out to help this.

Notice how the deeper hip turn also allow for a greater shoulder turn.  Left shoulder has not traveled far enough back or down in the left pic.

This will make it easier to transfer the weight forward at impact.  Notice how you're back on your right foot here

Some good videos to check out

So the deeper hip turn, and weight shift will that help speed/distance or accuracy? Or both?

thank you

Yep both.  More turn will increase the speed and giving yourself a better chance to get the weight forward at impact helps contact.

These are some new swings today with my sand wedge using and overlapping grip for the first time in my life and really concentrating on keeping my left arm straight. First swing I topped a little bit, next 4 I hit within 5 yards of a each straight and very high ball flight. The funny thing with the overhand grip it cuts my distance down considerably but allows me to hit the ball much higher for more consistent, soft landings, which I prefer. Let me know what you guys think/see. Next time I plan on working with my hip turn more, one thing at a time

Yeah turn out that right foot and keep those hips turning so they don't shift back
