Hello, I´m Marta from Madrid, Spain. Sorry if my english is not the best, I need to practice more!

I´m getting married in May and we are going to spend our honeymoon vacations in USA. We are passionate about golf so we really want to play golf at the best golf courses in the US. We are going to visit  New York, San Francisco, Pebble Beach(of course :-D ), Hawaii, Las Vegas and a little stop in Pinehurst to watch the US OPEN!

Can someone recomend us which golf courses we should play?

Welcome Marta. I don't have any recommendations regarding golf courses. I will say congratulations on getting married.

Have fun on your honeymoon..

Of topic, do you follow motorcycle roadracing at all..?

Hi John!

Courses in Spain.. where to start... there are many courses in Spain!

The most famous is Valderrama in The Costa del Sol, but there are many great courses all over the country.

There are great golf courses in the North of Spain, for example, "Real Club de Golf de la Coruña", "Pedreña", and many others.. there are also great golf courses in Madrid like, "Club de golf Villa de Madrid" and in Barcelona (Catalonia), like "Real Club de golf El Prat".

But also in the South, In la Rioja (winery regions).. and the islands! "Canary Islands" and " Balearic Islands", specially in Palma de Mallorca.

Well, maybe is too much information!. If you tell me which part of Spain you would like to visit, I will recomend you the best golf courses in the area.

Thankyou very much for the congratulations!

About the motorcycle road racing I don´t follow it anymore, but I used to like it a lot a few years back! I´m curious... why you ask?

I ask because I know road racing is big in Spain. Plus one of my favorite racers is Jorge Lorenzo in MotoGP.

Hi! Yes!, We plan to play there, at Bethpage Black, but I saw that is kind of difficult to reserve a tee time in advance if you are non-NYS resident... still we hope to find a way to play there.. :)

      There was a P.C.C. at Eagle Sticks Saturday of +1. I posted from the hotel Saturday night so I made my small contribution to the +1.

      It's been a remarkable slow start for me this year, but I finally cracked through with my first two birdies of the year over the weekend. Ironically they were the 18th at Community (Hills) GC Saturday and then No. 1 at Miami Shores on Sunday. Don't ask about the rest of them. For the purposes of the chart, I'll just use Miami Shores. Most of the golf I play any more is there and normally the front nine only.

      39-35 today for a +2 (74) on a 72.6/129. Struggled over the first few holes as I bogeyed five straight to start. Wasn't even striking the ball bad - just couldn't hit a green and didn't hit good chips + one penalty. Then I went -3 over the next 6 to save the round and then parred the last 7. Golf is fun.
