That pass I forgot who missed when they were playing D in the last minutes that allowed Portugal possession. That killed us.

That would be Michael Bradley losing the ball.

Bradley should not be on the field the next game.  He has played poorly. He kicked a ball directly into a fullback missing a sure goal. He was jogging on the last play.  As a former coach for 12 years, I would bench him.  He gives away the ball. He makes too many mistakes.  This last one, jogging, would be the final straw.

This game was for America to win...

And still they could not just simply eke out the win.

Certainly America deserved to win but it was not to be, it seemed.

Bradley (the bald guy) should have scored earlier to make that goal when he was alone vs the defender close to the net.

I mean srsly, even I could have scored that football goal...

The guy had one defender against him, goalie was just out of play in that situation...

One defender and his legs and head... and Bradley just shoots at the defender's knee...

It sucks but that's life, no? It's like you gotta forget that double bogey immediately and move on. I think we were lucky Ronaldo didn't look much like his 100% self save for that pass. I thought he that goal on us when he was alone, put it way wide right.

We cannot do that. He had a better game than last game despite the open goal. Sure he shouldn't have lost the ball, but this isn't baseball with 162 games. He is one of their best players and they can't lose him.

Either way, I still think Portugal's ****ed. Even if they beat Ghana by 2(Doubtful) and Germany beats the US by 2(Probable), The US would still advance with a -1 GD to Portugal's -2 GD. So hoping Portugal and Ghana draw or Portugal wins by 1 or two. If Ghana wins, then we may be in trouble

Dammit. Ghana is always at our heels. I hate Ghana. Always in a position to screw us.

Exactly. If Ghana wins, we want it to be low scoring and a one goal differential. A 2+ goal margin or a high scoring 1-goal margin is what they'd need if US loses. Let's just get the tie or win vs Gernany and be done with it. I still feel we can stay upbeat with Klinsmann's leadership. I love his style and I think his optimism is going to keep us from being demoralized after that finish against Portugal. Stunner.

You read all the prognosticators especially the European media, they gave us no chance to get out of the group. And we were seconds from being the first to advance outright before the awesome Germany. Our team is showing they're better than what everyone thought. I'm not sure why Klinsmann said we have to beat Germany in the post game interview.
