I probably wear same type pants that 99% or males wear...Shorts, cargo shorts, jeans, etc.

I use this holster, Galco Front Pocket,  for S&W; Airweight...when I do not want to carry Glock 19 in holster....

When in jeans I usually wear left hand inside the pants Uncle Mikes, behind my back, since I am a righty strong side. This is perfect for my old Charter Arms Undercover .38 Spec.   Many times I wear clothes I still love.  BDUs with a sturdy leather belt, a loose fitting shirt, and a Blackhawk holster with my full size .45.  I can usually pull this off without printing too much.  I changed from the regular Springfield holster to the Blackhawk so no one could grab my primary from behind if they somehow saw a print.  My Blackhawk not only makes it difficult to defeat the thumb lock, but one cannot pull the weapon without having the correct angle.  Of course, I bet you already know this.

As far as common clothing...around here one can wear 511 gear plus well shined tactical boots and look good at any local restaurant!  I am comfy and familiar in my clothes yet well prepared for the worst case scenario.

Only problem is that my wife wishes I did not have to think about my clothing in this way. She is not so happy with my feeling I must carry all the time.  But she does help and keeps this in mind when she picks out shirts for me on her own.  When one does their duty for our Country the old life sometimes bleeds into the new.  I know she will someday forgive me for the things she does not know.  Wives like knowing everything.  It bothers them not to, even if it is for their own safety.  God Bless them tho, when they put up with us, eh?

yep, Kahr 380 & NA Arms 22 mag mini-revolver

.22 mag?!  Wouldn't you worry about a shoot through?  Many carry those here as well, but that has a heck of a lot of velocity.  If I were in Wal-Mart parking lot I would be scared to let one of those off.  .22 LR in the brainpan would just scramble the eggs.  LR in center of mass should back them up without second round (of course the second controlled round being fired is pretty well the norm if you feel the first one is warranted), or at least make them stop or reconsider their situation so you can decide on the necessity of the second round.

I would personally feel more comfortable with a lawman velocity .380 before I would light off a .22 mag.  Please let me know what the attraction is for the .22 mag.  Like I mentioned earlier, I know it is a popular pp round, but I am curious as to what that attraction is.    Thanks.

She just ask me about getting her lifetime permit.  Indiana is a will issue state.  Just a matter of the 125 dollars and no felonies.

Funny story...I took her to fire a handgun for the first time.  Explained it to her.  Seven yards. Wheel gun.  She fired double action.  Here's the kicker...First shot on the paper. Second in the 7. Third and 4th in the 8. 5th touched the 10.  She outshot me!!  I love that woman!!!

Just joined this forum today. Saw this and feel right at home.

I have carried most of my adult life. A look at my online "handle" should let you know I am a gun enthusiast. I started shooting action pistol competitions as my kids got old enough that I wasn't coaching 2 or 3 little league teams at a time. Have done so for a decade. Sadly I have gotten burned out on it the last couple of years. Still fun, and my 3 sons shoot with me a good bit, but looking for a new challenge/change.

My oldest son graduated from college last year and started playing golf with his buddies. He wanted me to give it a try. Now 2 of my sons and I are hooked. We are all terrible, but enjoying trying to learn the game.

So, as to carrying. If you think you should sometimes, you should all the time, law and employment allowed.

Think of carrying like wearing your seat belt when you are in a car. You wear the seat belt all the time, b/c you never know when you will have a wreck.

Employment allowed.  I know about that.  Got fired on my birthday for a firearm violation at work.  Had an antique .22 behind seat of my truck.  I was restoring it.  No ammo.  Was set up.  Been there 23 years.  6 weeks vacation. Topped out in pay. 400 sick hours.  Replaced by relatively newer hire.

Six days later my testimony went to IN House and Senate.  Finally got "Parking Lot Bill" passed.  Now nurses travelling several miles at all hours can carry a personal protection weapon in their vehicles and not worry about parking at work.

Sirius radio show appearance.  Radio talk show appearances. NRA V.I.P. Charlotte, NC, 2010.  Fifteen minutes of fame and two years until I found a job that I liked at a place that had not blackballed me.  It was quite a ride!

I'm 22 and haven't really had the time to take the class yet. I was told it really doesn't do anything at all other than allow you to conceal it on your person. If you shoot someone, the same rules apply to someone who doesn't have a CHL. So, what's the point? I don't need to feel like "Billy Badass" carrying it on my hip. I tend to stay away from situations and places that have an environment where I need to carry anyways. Although, I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it... What to do, what to do....?

The point is you and those you care about could still be alive.  If for you, it is about feeling like a badass then I hope you have the sense not to carry.

Honestly, its the size - the NA mini 22 mag is so small & it's awesome for pocket carry in the leather pocket holster they make.      The barrel is only 1 inch, so the muzzle velocity is about the same as a 22LR from a rifle.       It's not the ideal carry caliber by a long shot, but due to its size I'm more inclined to carry it ... remember the first rule of gun fighting ... gotta bring a gun to the fight.
