I'm curious as to what's the lowest score you've ever carded. I'll get the ball rolling here...

The lowest score I've ever posted to date was a 73 (+6) (Par 67 - 63.8/109). The round consisted of 4 Birdies, 6 Pars, 6 Bogeys, 2 Double Bogeys. I surprised myself, and even my playing partners. Never in my wildest dreams I would have dreamt of shooting a round like that, definitely a great feeling for sure. Of course, I went back the next weekend, shot an 84 (+17) and came back down to earth, haha, the game of golf I tell ya!

Used to be a 12 but I've been going in the wrong direction for the past month. I'm probably a 15 now.

Lowest I've had is 82 for 18 holes, 37 for 9. I tend to do a load better on 9 hole rounds.

Let's see...I followed up a 39 with a 48 about three weeks ago, I carded in a pretty big number the other day... my anti-handicap is probably 30. If the putter is working and my drives are staying in play, then I can card 37, 38, 39, easily. If the putter's dead I struggle to break 50 for 9 holes. Usually my driving is good so it really comes down to the putter.

Shot 72 twice. Once in a club tournament Didn't win) and once in our after work money match (won good money)...that was 10 years ago when I was a 4...Work, parenthood, blah blah blah, and now I'm happy to shoot below 85...Goal for next year is to be back in single digits. I'm gaining on it.

Last year I shot a 69 on a par 68 (66.2/92). It was remarkable how easy everything came - fairway, green, two putts, repeat as needed. I bogeyed three holes and birdied two. The two best shots of the day were difficult pitches (one a flop, actually) to save pars.

I haven't come close to having such a consistent day yet, though I do manage to string together 3,4, or sometimes 5 holes of good golf... just not 18 in a row!

I have shot a 83 on a 72 and 81 on a 70.

I am consistent though. Hardly ever break 88 or so and have never gotten into the 70's.

I always blow up during the round whether it may be on the front or back. I have shot 37's on the back 9 4 times and 6 times on the front 9, but still yet to get into the 70's.

I can't wait for that day if it ever gets here!

That's an amazing story. I'm sorry, hard to believe a 15 handicap could go around in 69...3, 4 or 5 holes of good golf is well short of shooting those kind of numbers

In my earlier playing days, I carded several 78s on Par 72s (+6), when I was about a 9 hdcp. I've recently returned to golf after playing only about 3 rounds in a decade or so. It's tough not being able to make shots I know I used to could make, but my game's coming back to me. I hope to be shooting consistently in the 80s by this time next year.

84 on par 72, 70.8/117. I play a lot of 9 hole rounds and combine them. Lowest 9 holes is a 38 on a par 36.

40 was the lowest I've had on 9 holes.

Shot a 41 the other night in my league, and that was from the blues. I normally play whites on most courses. I always have more fun when I can shoot that low.

Putts were dropping, hitting a lot of GIR's, this is how I like to play golf. I'd like to do better, but I'm content to play this way if I could do it more consistently. It seems like when I play this well, I am at least presented with opportunities to make birdies and pars. Just play well enough that I have the opportunity and I'm happy.

Shot a 75 on a par 70 last week. Played a round full of shanks the week before where i shot 114. Then figured it out, played a good 9 holes (front 9) at 2 over 38 on a par 36, the next week. Then played a 4 over (back 9) a day later, followed by a 75 for 18 holes the next day. Had one double bogey and one triple. Crazy ass game. If I keep my head still I'm golden. The second that starts moving, I'm finished. My goal for my first year of golf had been to hit one round at even par. I don't know if I'll get there. Only got until October to do it, but I'm very happy with the 75. Gives you confidence that you can do it. I'm not worried about doing it every time. Just once in a while would be nice.

How do you think I felt when I had finished the round? I still have the detailed scorecard on my online handicap service: 9 of 14 fairways, 10 GIR, 28 putts (only one 3-putt). I consider it by moment in the sun after having played for more than 13 years and never once having come close to an ace or an eagle.

My second best score was an 81 on a par 72 (69.0/110).

80 twice on a 71.9/126 course. Best since those was an 82 this year on a 69.4/125 course.

Consistency has always been my killer. I can go anywhere from mid-80's to 3 digits. Normal days are high 80's, off days are 90's and the days to forget have me fighting to keep out of the triple digit range.

I know what you're saying. I've gotten exactly

one eagle and nearly one ace. Both were dumb, pure luck. The eagle, my buddy and I were both downhill about 130y away and probably 40-50 feet below the green. I hit a pretty nice shot over the hill, but when we went up for the next shot, my buddy was in the fringe on the far side and my ball was nowhere to be found. Instead of walking back down the hill, my buddy just suggested I drop one off the green, chip on and take a stroke. I do so and he goes to pull the stick for our putts and lo and behold, my ball was in the cup! (so, obviously we declared my other ball an unused provisional! -- We were teenagers walking a hilly course, so strict rules interpretation wasn't exactly in play that day, lol.) Same season, different course I hit a beautiful shot onto a Par 3 that rolled onto a hill on the green and curved like a knuckleball, closed in on the cup and I thought "omigod..." but it lipped out and rolled about 7-8 feet away. And I damn two putted for the only par I've ever hated to card.

81 on a par 70. I went out in 44 and came back in 37 (+2). I have shot +2 for nine on 4 different nines. These were my best until two weeks ago when I shot a +1 32 on my league.

Earlier this summer, about two weeks apart, I shot an 82 on my home course, a par 71. The best I had carded on that course were several 86s. Two weeks later, on a links course 40 miles north of here, I shot an 81 in the late afternoon, early evening ( about 102 degrees and very humid ).

Of course, the fact that chaps my chops is that I will go out and shoot a 92 on one day and then shoot a score, such as an 81 or 82, very good for my skill level on another. I am sure the reason for this is that I don't practice enough. And the prospect of me practicing more is not very great due to other, more pressing, obligations. I feel I am on the cusp of playing better golf; in fact, I can almost taste those lower scores that I know are just waiting for me if only...if only...I could just practice a little more.

Final note: Isn't it funny how satisfied we were when we first broke a hundred, then ninety? Now, 81 isn't going to seem quite as sweet to me the next time I card that score. Ah well....I just know a 79 is out there waiting for me to find it!
