K I'm looking for a club in the 16 or 17 degree range. I currently have a rocketballz stage 2 3 wood, but I have a steeper swing so with its shallower face I can't catch it good off the deck. Thought about going with a hybrid, but would like to try a wood first. Any suggestions?

Callaway X 2 Hot wood or hybrid. That's one of the things I really like about the hybrids they have a taller face so you can hit down on them. I have a 19 degree hybrid and I've considered taking the 3 wood out of the bag. Its easy to hit off the tee, out of the rough and its easy to shape shots with.

I looked at those but the 3 wood is 14.5 degrees and I'm just worried that won't gap well. And the five wood is too small.

I looked at the mini driver, but I'm just anxious about how it performs off the deck. I can hit a 240 cc 2 wood off the deck, but I just don't know if the extra 20 cc would make a diffrence?

I hit the 14 off the deck and had no problem. I actually found it easier to get up in the air than a standard fairway wood. Give it a try at a demo day or in a store and see how it goes. For what you're looking for it's either that or the Callaway X2 Hot 4 wood. Those fairway woods are bigger than most, or at least they look like it to me.

Has anyone on this thread hit a nike vrs covert 3 wood tour?

I just started researching it as i think it fits this gap good.  Does anyone know the face height of the tour model? I know its deeper faced, but dont want to take a chance on it as money is tight, so im trying to get as much info as i can on it, before i buy.

    • I have nothing to add other than I freaking love her swing and I think she's hot as hell and some of my golfing buddies disagree so I fought them
    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
