Do any of you guys have rounds like this? I hardly ever put 2 good sides or 2 bad sides together but often have crazy swings from my front 9 to back 9 scores. If i shoot in the mid 40's on the front I feel confident going into the back 9, but if I shoot even par on the front I know there's a good chance im doomed on the back. Hit 3 balls OB and 2 in the water on the front and the back 9 i had 4 birdies and only 1 bogey.

Wow, didn't think the spread could get larger than mine the past 2 weekends: 51/40 and 51/39. Good to know it's not just me. Lol.

That's amazing.  I've had some big ones, but 16 strokes is better than anything I've ever managed.

I get a chuckle out of thinking how different my reaction (and perhaps yours too??) would be to a 49-33 than it would be to a 33-49.

A 49-33 would make me proud for staying calm and working through the adversity, and a 33-49 would make me want to quit. ;)

Meh thats nothing, I do that all time. Heck I have jeckyl and hyde swings in between holes! One hole par it, next hole triple bogey, next hole birdie, next hole double bogey.

I do it all the time. Funny how quick things can change. Usually just one or two bad holes for me. Not sure what the deal is but my instance of total WFT holes seems to be increasing. I can make 5 pars in a row then blam a triple/quad on a par 3 comes out of nowhere. Always something stupid like wussing out on a bunker shot that lands in deep rough worse than any bunker lie. The following crap chip leaves me a 80 foot putt that I not only misread but leave 50% short then at least a couple more to get it holed. Last year my double or worse % was just a little higher than my birdie %. My par % is up, bogey is down and double is getting higher as the season progresses.

Funny I had that this past weekend, started off with a triple, par, triple, par, bogey, it went like this the whole round. Never got a birdie, tossed the card on the back 9 and just had fun.

Oddly enough I've heard teachers say they would rather work with a golfer that shots 49/33, then the one that shots 41/41.  I guess the premise is if you can go low, you might be able to go really low.  I would have a very short memory on the 49 and only think about the 33, some day you will put together back to back 33's!

(WJHL) — The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) men’s golf team has received an apology from Delta Airlines after a video that has over 5 million views showed staff haph… I feel for the team! 15 years ago I changed planes in Atlanta on my way to Las Vegas. With a window seat on the Hartsville tarmac I could see my golf bag, in a hard case, tossed onto the conveyor belt, and overhang the edge, to the cargo section. As it rose, I saw it fall off from about 20’. Couldn’t see the impact. When I landed and retrieved the case, it was destroyed but the clubs were okay!   When I filed a claim with Delta they put me through an administrative nightmare and I finally gave up. Still have that case in my attic!
