It's usually best to work on 1 thing at a time. There are a couple of other things, but don't worry about those for now. Once you have key #1 fixed, then move on to the next key. Have fun.. :-D

Definitely. You might check out since the grip is very important and you can practice while sitting on the couch watching TV until it feels natural to you. I actually keep a grip on my desk and will practice gripping the club throughout the day. Your main focus of the swing is keeping your head steady. I can only speak for myself when I say that if it's a problem, it's likely to return, so you have to monitor it over time.

So I went to the range last night with these new tips in mind but I still wasn't hitting the ball very consistent.  I had a 7 iron in my hand and the majority of the shots went not very high and only about 115 yards but they were straight.  These shots felt like I was hitting the ground first, then the ball.  Therefore, I tried sliding my hips more on the downswing but the ball would push immediately to right and not travel far at all.  What am I doing wrong?

It doesn't really look that much different than the last video you posted. I think you need to understand that the changes will take a least a couple weeks of working on the same piece . Review my last post again.

Your job? Once you've got some feedback, it's to assess the biggest problems in your game against the tips and advice you receive, then, choose only one priority item on which to work. Sometimes it's as easy as doing what the majority of people see. Sometimes you have to apply your history and understanding to choose your priority item. Sometimes your priority will be whatever the person you trust most says it is.

Whatever your reasoning, try to find a single priority item, post that you're going to work on that, and let others know. Then…

Work on It

The best advice in the world is wasted if you don't apply it.

So, once you've found your priority, work on it.

What do we mean by that? Well, we don't mean to just take the tip to the range or your next round of golf and "try it out" while making full swings or keeping score.

What does "work on it" really mean? Basically, it means that you should apply the 5 "S"s of Effective Practice: Simple, Specific, Slow, Short, and Success - The Five "S"s of Great Practice (this is unrelated to 5SK).

Yep, I have been and continue to work on key # 1, and it's been 5 months. Old habits are hard to break sometimes. I may not concentrate on it as hard as I use to, but it's always in the back of my mind as I work on other keys to improve my swing.

hey guys-

although these are pretty much 3 quarter swings, please let me know your thoughts.  in these swings, my contact has been much better as i've been focusing on turning my hips/straitening my legs and swinging to right field.

thanks!

Looking better to me. One comment I have is that you appear to be off balance an.d falling forward after your swing. I'm guessing your weight is too much on your toes. Perhaps have a look at this video:

Not so much for your back posture, but for your hands. I think you are standing a bit too far away from the ball, and extending your hands too far out away from your body (at least for an iron shot). Good general rule of thumb is to get about a hands width from your body to the butt end of your club. So for you, I would stand a tad closer and get the hands a tad lower.

I would say your grip is a tad too weak. The V's could point more towards your right ear to right shoulder. Check out this thread for a GREAT tutorial on the golf grip

For the backswing, you need to get more hip turn compared to how much shoulder turn you have. You can let that back leg loose a bit more flex. What will help with this is getting your feat more flared (toes pointing outward more). Check out the link and the video below for more information.
