I don't even know what to say to this!   Nobody won the bet, and you gave them $25 and let them keep it?  Hahahahahaha

Secondly.........who hands over money up front?  LOL   I have taken a few on-course bets with strangers(which is dumb in itself), and no cash ever changes hands until the conclusion of the bet.  The only reason I took the bet is because I was confident I had my opponents measured up correctly.....and they had no clue what they were up against....and I won my bets.

One instance comes to mind.  I paired with a single and I played the first 2 holes poorly.   I was about a 2HC at the time......  I think I can size people up pretty well on the course and I figured him to be about a 10HC at best, when he asks me on the 3rd tee if I want to play $1 per hole for greenies.   I didn't hesitate....I hit the next 3-4 greens in reg when he said he had enough...LOL    It was only for a couple bucks, but it was still fun.

strange it took 16 posts for someone to point this out... i would have put up a pretty good stand to get the $25 back in my pocket where it belonged.

if nobody wins, then by default, everyone gets their $$ back...

if the bet carried over to another hole, you should have been in on it...

did you simply play through at that point, or...??
