No Parkinsons, he has little to no ability on the green. He was so wound up about putting for an eagle he thought himself to paralysis and almost whiffed... both times.

yea, I seen players who just cant putt if their life depended on it. 3 putts is a regular occurrence. sometimes I see it a player who swings really well but just cant stroke the ball on the green. I`m sure the qualities that go into having  a good swing is very different then from having a good stroke into the ball.

I average about 34 putts per round with only 2 GIR. As a 25-handicapper, I consider putting one of my strengths!

The only thing I keep up with is how many three putts or more did I have a round.  I can live with 2 putts every hole as long as I am not hitting the ball all over the map that day.  Once you enter the three or more putt zone you are going to endure a long and painful day on the course.  Now, if you are a Pro then that is a whole different ballgame. Think they average from 27 to 30 a round.

With 14 GIR, I would think you could kick it in the hole less than 46 times.

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
