Seriously, If he put the same move on a baseball, he could.

OK, OK...I'm sure it's possible. I guess I should have added "average distance of 5 HRs Tiger hits in Yankee stadium (not counting foul balls, fly outs, etc)" or something to that effect.

OK, I'll go with my original answer: "...or as far as anything Dave Kingman hit."

500 feet. Over and out.

I dont know, tiger is ripped and he can swing extremely hard. I dont know how far he could drop one though..

here are my stats. 6'3" 265. Ive hit baseballs 400+ with a wood bat.

My swing speed on my driver is 130mph. So Tiger's got me in the speed. Ive seen smaller guys turn on baseballs and kill them...

Look at Ichiro, Jimmy Rollins, Grady Sizemore, Even Bronson Arroyo, hes not very big and hes a pitcher, but he can still Smash.

So anyway, I think tiger could tear into a baseball pretty well..

I really dont get tI"m just always amazed when I hear he is so athletic.

Really?

Have a look at his physique, and what he does with it.

tiger would do great with low pitches as he could use his golf swing

They will beat their swords into golf clubs and their spears into putters. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Old Tom Morris 2:4

Tiger recently had a batting session with his buddy John Smoltz during spring training. John was calling out his pitches and Tiger only got one hit off him that barely squeaked out of the infield. He even admitted he's not good at baseball. If he were ever to attempt a career in baseball, it would turn out much like Michael Jordan's stint.

It takes skill to hit a 90+ mph fastball, but what separates the pros from everyone else is the ability to hit the different speed of pitches that are mixed in...curveball, changeup, etc. It's not as easy as one might think.

I think he would constantly strike out and then get mad and cry and say "dont you know im tiger woods"

Posted
A. It wouldn't happen

you don't know that. Neither do those who say he would be good. there is no way of telling unless you've seen him play. You can't compare just by looking at each sport. The golf swing is much more complicated than the baseball swing; but in baseball, the ball is moving at you. no comparison.

I don't think he'd make it based on one day...

but if you let that guy use all his athletic ability and determination... I think he could be better than MJ was in AA ball. What did MJ hit, like .202 with 2 dingers?

I agree, there's a ton of guys who are gonna make him look foolish, but like anyone else, he'd need practice and polish (and more practice).
