  1. 1. Did Phil do the right thing by speaking his mind at the Ryder Cup press conference?

    • Yes, Watson sucked as captain, it was the best way to get his opinion heard

    • No, it was passive aggressive and he threw Watson under the bus

Seems like your being a little judgmental about Mr. Phil—Who works for a living, fulfills all his sponsorship obligations, supports his family and is actively involved in community affairs and is well liked and respected among his fellow competitors to include the PGA  bigshots. If you can ever reach the same level as Phil has then I might view your comment as creditable otherwise it is just a bunch of noise from a golfer wantabe.

Phil disgraced himself

We get it.  You dislike Mickelson. You don't need to keep saying this over and over. Accept

the fact that some of us disagree with your opinion.

To me it seemed Phil wasn't happy with the Watson pick right from the beginning. I think what went down at this years Ryder Cup really exposes why we can't win. Too many big ego's among both captains and players on the American side that never get "checked at the door".

I think most of our players do make a honest attempt to check their ego's but it only takes one clash between a Watson/Phil, or Phil/Tiger, or Sutton/Tiger, or Phil/Sutton, or whomever to cloud up the team room.

Maybe Freddie Couples really is the answer to lead these primadonna's. He's so laid back and non-confrontational, and they all seem to love him. If it works let him be captain for the next decade.

As far as Watson's Captaincy, I'm not defending him, I'm sure he made a lot of mistakes, but it sure looked to me like the rookies and younger players whom all had a solid Ryder Cup bought in and played well, dare I say better than the veterans. How are you going to win when the guy's your supposed to rely on the most are slapping it all over the place(Phil) while your rookies and younger guy's are the ones barely holding the thing together. Answer is your not!

The other thing that gets no press is we had 3 of our best players out in Tiger, Dustin, Duffner. Newsflash, we weren't going to win that Ryder Cup people, I don't care if Ghandi, or the Virgin Mary was the Captain, it wasn't going to happen! The Euro's are way to deep, or at least deep enough to win easy when we are not at full strength!
