Only logical reason I can come up with is that the tissue in that area (ass) is thinner and would absorb the alcohol quicker than drinking it.

As for the booze enema...the large intestine absorbs alcohol very quickly into the bloodstream.  I'm aware of a case from Texas in 2005 of a man who was a long-time alcoholic.  He had throat cancer and could not drink anymore.  He was near death anyway, and his wife wanted to alleviate his suffering...so she bought an enema kit from a drugstore and a bottle of cooking sherry (no need to waste the good stuff up your bum, right?).  She poured a liter of sherry up his bum and he died in minutes.  The local DA briefly considered charging her with manslaughter, but it was eventually discarded as an unfortunate accident.

Edit:  looks like my details were a bit off (this was ten years ago), but I got the basic story right.

Saw a picture of their beer in cans.  Cans?  Not a fan.

Also the name is not inspiring.  They could have come up with something more interesting than "Golf Beer".

Many craft brewers are using cans these days.  They're more eco-friendly (aluminum is much more easily recycled than glass), more portable (I hate seeing bottles at the beach), and protect the contents (i.e. the beer) better than glass (UV rays can kill beer pretty quickly).  The beer is meant to be poured into a proper glass anyway.

yup, alcohol gets absorbed rather quickly through the colon.  the neighbor was able to hide his problem for a long time, apparently.  sad case.

anyways, i like newcastle.  but apparently the bottles are why it gets skunky sometimes.

    • Day 200 3-4 Wider back swing, arms up a bit higher, and added in some flow work to start getting a since of a full swing. Still focusing on arching wrist through downswing.
    • It's going to be very difficult for the 2026 Masters to match the 2025 edition for storyline. I honestly don't know that anyone else in the field could match the story of Rory finally winning after so many years and the blow ups over the years, not to mention the career slam being completed. No one this year that I can think of is remotely close to that kind of story. Combine that with the attempts at blow ups last year (Double on the 1st, 13, 18 on first try) and the stunningly good shots that he hit in the final round (7, 15, 17, 18 on second try).  Full gamut: https://www.masters.com/en_US/watch/2025-04-13/17445961638226475/every_single_shot_from_rory_mcilroys_final_round.html
    • Let's kick off the 2026 Masters talk with… a look back at 2025 (coming soon):
    • Wow, so Europe named Luke for a third term. Luke Donald named 2027 European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald named 2027 European Ryder Cup Captain Who will the U.S. name? I hope not Tiger Woods.
    • I am playing Arrowhead for the first time and I am pumped.  What are some things that I need to make sure and appreciate, for those that have played it before and love it? It has been a pretty dry winter so I am expecting rough to be forgiving which is nice and it will be playing much easier than it does in the late summer (I am assuming based on other colorado courses).  What should I make sure to not miss?
