Still waiting. Had a realistic chance at it only twice that I can think of. I've been on the green under regulation more than twice, but I don't consider a 30+ foot putt a realistic chance at eagle.

I've had eagles in every decade since the 1960's. Four eagles were from over 100 yards, 2 from 50-100 yards, 2 chip-ins, and 5 were putts, for a total of 13. (Two were holes-in-one.) I can't wait until the year 2020 when I can try to make eagles in seven consecutive decades!

I love this game! :-)

Chalk me up for a zero.

I drove the green on a dogleg left 340 yard Par 4.  The ball was 10 feet past the hole and I missed the putt by an inch and it rolled a foot and a half past.  The birdie putt was a nail biter because it spun around the lip.  I wouldn't call it frustrating because I was happy for the bird.  They don't come too often.

Interesting that you have so many more eagles on par 4s than aces, me too. Maybe 8 eagles on par4s and only one ace. And the ace doesn't really count cause I was a kid beginner and got it playing with my mom at a par 3 course with lights.

Guess you'd hit lots more wedges into par 4s than par 3s, but you wouldn't think 12 times as many over your golfing life, assuming most of your par4 eagles are with wedges, all but 1 of mine are. And unless you almost drive lots of par 4s (not me).

Would seem you are due for an ace or 2 with a short iron :-)

You generally play 10 par-4's in a round, but only 4 par-3's. Additionally, better players will usually have closer approach shots on a lot of par-4's, than the length that the average par-3 plays. I've never had an ace, but 3 of my eagles were par-4 dunks, and one was a 100 yard wedge on a par-5.

I haven't had one in years but when I was younger, stronger, and played at altitude, [Denver], I'd get one on occasion. It was a lot easier for me to reach par the 5s in two back then. Length is key. I'm a better golfer now but rarely reach in two. I've never had an eagle on a par four or had an ace either although I've been pretty close many times.

I've got zero...but I've had a few chances mainly on par 5s that I've gotten on the green in 2... Two that I can remember fondly, one was a part 3... about 170 yards and I smoke my tee shot and it's sky hi too....it lands right in line with the flag stick and is close too...we get to the green and my ball is about 6 inches from the hole.... The other was a par 5...dogleg to the left.... i hit my tee shot straight and it goes into the trees at the bend to bounce around and pop out and roll another 20 yards in the fairway. .. i then smoke a (200 yards away )5 iron onto the green... and have a nice line for a putt...and it lips out... and I make birdie Both happened back in 2000...I've had other chances but nothing that I can remember as well

Same for me, the three eagles in my teens and 20's were all reaching par 5's in two shots and making a putt.  In 40 years since then, I only been able to get eagles at age 49 and age 64 reaching par 5's in two, and I have to admit the one this year was from a senior tee.

To me though, the most frustrating thing is when you do reach a par 5 in two shots and then 3 putt.

Definitely still looking for my first hole-in-one...

But I have a 270-300 yard par-4 (depending on where the tees are), and for three months out of the year it has a tailwind....  got a couple of eagles there.

I'm still under 5 total though.  :(
