So, after months (I guess maybe even years) of lurking, I decided to create an account finally :). My name is Han, and I am a regular on the Dutch golf forum Golfchat, of which a few members also post here (that I know of).

I started golf about 9 years ago, because my employer heavily subsidised golf lessons. Got my first handicap and basically stopped playing right then and there because of other sports. Two years ago I picked it up again, started with regular lessons and went from a handicap 32 then to 12.6 now.

I play regularly, almost every week whenever the weather allows it. I still have lessons every 6 weeks during season and around 4 weeks off season.

Random stuff: I have a GameGolf and I love it. I carry my bag, unless it rains. The closest course to where I live is a nice par 3 course, close to the sea (always windy). My current set contains a Cleveland Classic 290 driver (10.5, Miyazaki something shaft), Srixon Z-star 5W (also Miyazaki), Cleveland Mashie irons, 52 GW, 56 SW, 60 LW all Cleveland, and a Yes! Callie-12 putter.

And of course I have read Lowest Score Wins (I might have been the first Dutch guy), recommended it on my forum as well.

Han

Thanks for buying the book and recommending it. I think we have a few other people in your neck of the woods, including @Zeph

and of course @MacDutch . :)

We have some GAME Golf threads too.

Mostly, though, I just wanted to say "hi" and "welcome to the site!" If your experience has lead you to have any insight into what we can do to encourage other lurkers to join and post, please lay it on us! We'd love to know. Interacting is so much more valuable than just reading, IMO.
