Can someone please for the love of Mike tell me how the calorie counter on Golflogix works? I get the part about choosing the calorie counter at the beginning of the round, but I can't figure out how to actually asses calories burned when the round Is over.

I don't know if anyone has and uses that. Have you tried asking GolfLogix? Reading the manual?

It looks like you start a timer and then stop it, and it tells you calories burned (if you pay the $19.99 price).

i did pay the $19.99 premium. I can start the timer, and i can choose between their calorie counting options (walking, walking with cart, walking and carrying bag, etc.), but I missing how to get to the actual calories-burned step when the round is done. i don't see where to turn the timer off, either. golflogix only has a youtube video that is very general and doesn't dig down to details.

Heck if I know. I don't work for GolfLogix. Haven't even ever downloaded the free app.

I use both Golflogix and Golfshot (haven't made a decision yet).   Obviously Golflogix's calorie counter is a generalization.   I will burn more/less calories than you.  If I stop at the turn and get a hot dog and pop to go, I'm adding to the calorie count.   Does it know if I use mustard, ketchup or onions?  Regardless if you walk, pull or push a cart or ride, this option on Golflogix isn't anything more than a guess.  If you walk, buy a pedometer and count steps.

The key to weight loss is taking in or burning less calories then you consume.

How it displays is only on the round summary page. In the example here, see the calories burned under each cart type.

Hope this helps

There, fixed a typo for you.

EDIT:

BTW, as others have said, I doubt you can trust the numbers on GolfLogix's calorie counter.  It can only be an estimate as the metabolism differs from individual to individual.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
